LisaColette
Well this is baffling! Definitely didn't hear any booing. Anyone else? "It’s the one thing that rattles my cage.People Booing the opposition.Shame on you @poolespeedway fans. That’s Football mentality. Especially as you had won a few heats ago. If you didn’t have the other team to ride your team, it would be a boring meeting. Think on that"
Steve Shovlar
No booing whatsoever. Poole fans clapped the opposition at the beginning and Scott Nicholls got a cheer from the Poole fans as he is held in high esteem. Didn’t hear a single boo all night.
Jaizer
I'm missing the issue with a bit of booing? Pantomime villains all part of sport imo. Andre Compton seemed to revel in it!!

Part of the fun, surely.
Bagpuss
I used to love booing Ryan Fisher at Lynn

Andre Compton seemed to revel in it!! Yeah, agree. I remember once Nicki said he loved being boo'd at Poole and then when it happened he started moaning about it in the press. He obviously was trying some sort of reverse psychology. Didn't work on the fans though lol. Apparently there was a tiny bit just after the parade or early on (not sure why, nothing really happened!) but I was prob too busy talking to notice lol. SteveLyric2
There was even huge applause when Killeen came down but managed to get off the track to avoid a stoppage.
LisaColette
Getting to the bottom of it. Apparently it is when announcing Oxford riders names before H15. Sam and Scott always get a good reception at Poole and Sam got clapped/cheered when he came round after H15, so don't get it! Will watch back and see! lol. szkocjasid
I never boo riders, as it's such a dangerous sport, I'd hate for a rider to get injured after I'd bood him & would feel awful. Maybe I've booed once, towards Nicki Pedersen at Cardiff, only to show my displeasure to the referee for excluding Bjarne Pedersen & Leigh Adams, when Nicki slid off on the first bend. Indeed, seem to remember Neil asking the Poole fans not to boo/wind up Nicki too much back in the day as it got him in the right mood, and him winding up the Poole fans on bend 2 back at Eastbourne, but I never remembered it to be nasty either way, tended to be pantomime. I remember chanting cheat at Bjarne Pedersen one night at Arlington when he slid off to get Poole a tactical in the following heat. Whether he did or not we'll never be sure, ( although the sort of clever thing Matt Ford would have tried I suppose) but it was fun, happy days.....

Listening back to it, I had to turn the volume up to max and could only just hear it when they said Scott's name. Was prob just a few kids in the grandstand doing it. WeymouthPirate
Thinking about it now (a week or so on), I believe it might’ve been Sam Masters being booed? Because of his hit/move on Lawson in Heat 11 where I don’t know how Lawson stayed up. Wasn’t anything major, and anyone making a big deal out of it needs their heads checking

He got applause after the race though when he came round. I think it was just kids doing it, cos when your that age, it just a bit of fun! Watching the clip I defo heard it when they said Scott's name. Harder to tell with Sam's name. The fan complaining about it is a big Scott Nicholls fan so that would make sense!
