Trying to give a realistic suggestion, close enough to entice some Diamonds fans so they don't lose money.

Let's be honest Bandits would get thrashed by Lynn!

There was a comment that Lynn also looked rusty tonight, so would help each other!

Gary Flint saying lack of competitive track time costing Berwick a few points, then why would you want to start the season with the KO cup, especially as there are few spare dates for most Clubs this season.

Why indeed, the Berwick riders had a duty to be ready for the fixture as they had enough time to get the necessary preparations in place to be ready, though they probably weren't helped  by the club agreeing to a KO Cup fixture straight off, poor planning and a poor excuse.

Is he not just trying to hide the fact that yet again they have built a not very competitive team?

It's probably not going to be the same 1-7 for very long, I suspect, once Jorgensen (and Schlein??)  gets a proper average.

What is the criteria for a proper average these days, the seasons that short that it could have little effect changing the Team compared to previous seasons.Although you only have top finish top6 out of 9 Teams to progress.

A damn sight lower than the 9.53 he is currently on.  Schlein could easily reduce his 8.18 too.  Quite easy to knock off 3pts between them, allowing Berwick to bring in a 5pt average (or below) rider and release Stoneman or Coles, if they wished to do so.

I was asking how many matches TJ has to ride.Everybody knows he won’t maintain his present figure.

Apologies for misinterpreting your post.  It used to be 4h and 4a, but I think they changed that for reassessed averages, but can't remember what they changed it to! I am sure some kind person can inform us.

Just trawled through the rule book and for Championship riders with an assessed CMA it is 8 "qualifying" matches (presumably home and away - so you could ride 7 away and 1 home!) before they get a "proper" average.

Not sure Steve, where converted averages are concerned. Seem to remember (a think it was Adam Ellis) went somewhere on a converted ave. and it changed pretty quickly, possibly on the next set of GSA's,,, but that was then.

I don't think Berwick were that bad, they lost by 16 points (not a thrashing) away from home, against a team expected to be amongst the favourites for the league, who were strengthened by Edwards taking 3 of Mulford's rides!

I may be totally on wrong course but in Jorgensen case, maybe Schlein too do they not have a 2021 average rolling in Championship?   That could be how it works  Thomas J was on about 7.30? He would have started 2023 on his top league converted one so lot higher

Jorgensen used his Prem ave converted as he didn't ride Champ in 2022. He's now back onto his rolling averages (including 2021 matches) so will get a new average on 1st May, along with the rest of the team - unless the rules have changed again!

Knudsen may get a new average sooner. He needs 2 more matches to get a new average, but I don't know if BSN qualifiers count?

I watched stream    Edwards extra rides probably gave Bears at least extra 4 points so realistically been about 49-41

Knudsen much better than his score   Coles too   Unlucky Heat 12 and good win Heat 2 then had two poor starts  Gating all important as was obviously slick

Flint must been hindered it seems with a fall in the practice lap     Only Stoneman looked bit off pace

I don't think Schlein's average will drop, TJ certainly will, but his loss may be made up by Knudsen's gain?

Looking at fixs Berwick only have one league 6 May so if correct Knudsen will stay on 5 as only ridden 6 matches yet  If TJ and RS get new average  Knudsen wont until June? I think that right?

Think only League counts? So 6 May first one

Speaking to other Berwick fans at Redcar we all thought use IRR after Leons first ride as it was obvious he was in a lot of pain and discomfort. I was trhen informed we couldn't as he did not injure himself during the meeting.

Going by the fixtures we only have 1 League match in May.
