Despite Erik riding for Germany at the weekend

And, apparently, said afterwards it was a mistake to do so (failed to score from 4 rides) as he felt fuzzy headed throughout.

But he will miss Redcar`s meeting this week at Birmingham tomorrow night and then at Redcar on Friday for their home match against Scunthorpe. It remains to be seen whether he takes his place at Ipswich on Monday for their local derby match against Kings Lynn.

It’s just Dick having one of his ‘senior’ moments.

Why did he take his 2nd, 3rd or even 4th rides?

A danger to himself & others!

You would have to ask him that question.  You would also have to ask how he was allowed to ride at all, as it sounds (I'm no doctor, mind) very much like he had/has concussion.  Lewi Kerr came off in a spill last night and has an immediate "no ride" policy against him, surely the same should have applied to Erik Riss, no matter where in Europe he was riding?

Riss hasn't got concussion. He has a low white blood cell count which they think has been caused by an infection.

He’s got a viral infection.

Team news for tonight is that Greg Blair continues to stand in for the injured Nathan Stoneman while Jonas Knudson is also missing tonight, not because of his accident at Glasgow last night but because he is riding in Poland for his team Pila, something you would've thought that Berwick could've let everyone know last Saturday.

I guess that's why the date was originally a blank Saturday, if they knew he wasn't going to be available

Very possible though its still strange therefore to arrange a fixture with the knowledge you are already a man down.

Nothing strange in Speedway.

Accepted, but we had one poster the other day on this thread exclaiming the fact that Erik Riss had the temerity of trying to return to racing with his German club then go back onto the injury list and miss this weeks Redcar fixtures, including tonight`s. Berwick would've  known of Knudson`s absence for tonight's match last week.

Where have you seen that about Jonas? As he is not in the Pila team for today
