Wolves look uninspiring to me but their home form will always give them a great chance of top four.

That's how i looked at Wolves. Several riders dropped their average between Sept and Oct. 2 riders by a point each.. Add to the the Agg bonus point, i can see them making top 4 without problem, unless injury of course.

The Premiership is really hard to call, no weak looking teams for me (so far).

1. Sheffield - everything about the team looks good & a strong reserve in Kerr

2. Wolverhampton - 5 heat leaders & the best rs

3. King's Lynn - expecting Kasprzak, Jakobsen & Pickering to up their aves well. Will have the best reserve in the league in TJ.

4 . Belle Vue - great top two, not convinced in Wright as a 3rd heat leader, also think the bottom half will be weak away & have weakest rs in the league.

5. Leicester - good top end, but can't see any improvement in their averages. Weak looking bottom 3 for me.

Top 4 yes....5 heat leader's....but not an out number 1 ...may struggle away from home in heats 13 and 15 ....compared to others...

Masters had the highest average (official fixtures exc bonus) of any rider in the Premiership last season bar Jason Doyle.

How the hell is he not a number one?

Wolves  should  have home track advantage  every week but a couple of them dont ride the track very well.....lack fire power in heats 13 and 15.....masters not brilliant  away from home ...average  suggests that .....

Thats why he has nva got in to the grand prix ...needs to up his game away from home ...

Not having rider in a GP qualifier since 2017 might have more to do with it.

Better ozs out there ....

Such as...

Masters has been pretty unlucky when it comes to GP qualification. Won the Oz Championship in 2018 and was in the qualifiers the year before (the last time he made an appearance). Then finished top 4 in 2019, but wasn't in them for some reason (injury?). Had a poor 2020 and therefore missed out again in 2021. Pretty sure he would make the top four in most people's list of non-GP Australians.

Anyone calling Masters a genuine No1 has clearly had to much drink over the holidays.

A genuine No1 doesn't also ride Championship speedway, they'd be in the top leagues on the continent.

Masters is boosted by his home track.

Away averages including BP's in 22;

Doyle 9.87

Musielak 8.42

Kurtz 8.19

Fricke 8.10

Masters 8.09

From that list only Doyle & Fricke can be considered genuine No1's. Fast forward to 23 & (predicted) incomers of C.Holder, Iversen, Pedersen, Sayfutdinov, Masters should slip down the order.

His only saving grace will be his home track & no rider's within his own team to challenge the No1 jersey.

Whereas, Belle Vue, Sheffield, Peterborough, Ipswich (with predicted incomings) have genuine challenges from within their own team to be the No1.

He's literally only 0.33 down on the second best away average in the league!

Agreed that incomings will push him down the pecking order, but a bit rich to say he isn't a number 1 as things stand. Your own stats literally prove that he is!

Kurtz, C.Holder, Tungate are levels above Masters.

4th on the list isn't worthy when Doyle, Fricke & J.Holder are already GP rider's.

Think about it this way, like (potentially) Ipswich has Doyle & Sayfutdinov, Belle Vue Bewley & Kurtz, Peterborough C.Holder & Pedersen, for example, where would Masters be if Lindgren & Woffinden were available to Wolves??

The answer would prove Masters ISN'T a genuine No1, even at Premiership level.

Secondly, there wouldn't be many takers for Masters on his average at any other Premiership club
