Belle Vue 11/8

Ipswich 3/1

Sheffield 4/1

Peterborough 13/2

Leicester 12/1

Wolves 12/1

Kings Lynn 20/1

They’re way off with Lynn there IMO. absolute bankers for a play off spot and happy to be vaulted on that come the end of the season.

Can't really slag you off, because I had Lynn down for a play-off spot too, but at least I didn't say they were "absolute bankers" lol!

I’ll own that! I always love a side with a ringer at reserve. I had my doubts as most of us did with KK, but I’ve been really surprised with Klindt and Pickering hasn’t helped their situation either.

1) Sheffield - look to have strength in all the right places, heat leaders not as strong as some others (but not weak either), but make up for it elsewhere & look to have good reserves.

2) King's Lynn - solid top 6 & should have the strongest reserve in the league. While they don't have any top heat leaders, they make up for it with their second strings / number 6.

3) Wolverhampton - very solid top 5, could all average 7+. No superstars, but a decent number one & the strongest RS.

4) Ipswich - powerhouse top 2. Rest of the top 5 isn't as strong as any of the teams I've placed above them.

5) Belle Vue - fantastic number one & a good number 2. Not quite got 3rd heat leader / second string strength. Have the weakest RS. However home track form could help with bonus points!

6) Peterborough - great number one. But after that doesn't look so good. Not an awful team just, don't see much improvement in the rest of the team. Other teams simply look better.

7) Leicester - top 4 looks great, but think Sedgmen / Allen is where they are weak. Sedgmen would be an ok reserve but don't see him as a top 5 rider.

If I hide some of my predictions I think I've done quite well lol!

Sheffield ✓

King's Lynn - miles off

Wolves ✓ (my write up was very accurate)

Ipswich - close enough

Belle Vue - doing better than I expected

Peterborough - not far away from prediction - of course I thought they had a strong number one!

Leicester - Sedgmen doing very well & is the reason they are higher than I predicted.

That Wolves side is as solid as hell and surprising many, however I'd close my curtains if they were riding in my back garden

There were quite a few who seemed to suggest they were the worse team by far & not just slightly weaker, when positioned bottom. I wonder if they'll hold their hands up to that lol!

Teams haven't even ridden half of their fixtures yet, hold thy horses.

Pre season predictions are just a bit of fun anyway, no idea why people get their knickers in a twist about them.

Predicting the final positions as you say is a bit of fun. But anyone "loudly" declaring that a team is awful / going to be miles behind, would be the time to say "I was wrong" imo.

Luckily for you I assume you don't have a track in your back garden, or any other garden for that matter.

I was one of them.

Looking like the play off places will be cut and dried well ahead of the cut off for a change

Belle Vue, Sheffield & Wolves look pretty safe. Kings Lynn & Peterborough 99% out of it. Leicester favourites for 4th ahead of Ipswich.
