I'm expecting Blodorn to end up at reserve, scoring plenty points at the NSS, but not away (especially at Wolves).

I agree, however that applies to most teams (kings lynn apart) reserves at Monmore.

It’s a strange one with the number 6 spot this year as a lot of good riders down there, some on artificial averages. Just checked Lewis Kerr and with certain matches not counting towards his average in his time at Sheffield (Play offs, League Cup final) his last 10 rolling would be 6.72 (7.54 inc bonus points) if all matches counted, that’s against his actual end of season rolling of 4.71.  Like Kings Lynn with their compact second strings I can see Kerr, Howarth and Bellego all possibly having stints at number 6 during the season, think most teams will see movement between 2/4/6 especially once riders have bedded in and received an actual average for this season

It was strange  how they did the rolling  averages last year....left it open to fiddle ...some teams have gone top heavy and others have  strength  in depth...whatever  uve gone as long as they all improve u will be fine ....Should be  an interesting  season.....

Reports suggest Blodorn had got the hang of Foxhall during the play off semi, but his form away from NSS does need to improve.

The Stars will have the best reserve all season imho. Freddie  will be on a 7+ after a couple of meetings. Take ya pick :)

1. Nicolai Klindt 7.39

2. Thomas Jorgensen 6.35

3. Michael Palm Toft 6.86

4. Krzysztof Kasprzak 6.86

5. Josh Pickering 6.14

6. Frederik Jakobsen 5.04

 7. Jason Edwards (RS)

Jorgensen will be at reserve for the rest of the season, as soon as Jakobsen attains an average.

Not necessarily, for a start he has a higher average than Pickering, so if Jakobsen gets a new ave before the team averages change on 1st May Pickering would go to reserve. Of course if Jorgensen turns out to be the 6th best rider, he may still move out if the reserve berth if he scores well after dropping down (assuming he will).

Both reserves  at M.G will stay there all season...

Never said they wouldn't, they will still have the upper hand on the visiting reserves due to the excellent (cough cough) Monmore track.

Jorgensen can be a bit and miss at times...useful  at reserve tho ....

This is why I don’t think itl play out how lynn think as he will go to reserve most likely but doesn’t seem to score a lot from reserve,it’s hard to call who will have the strongest reserve by June time as itl b most likely

belle vue Brennan/blodorn

Sheffield  Howarth

lynn Jorgensen

for me I’d prob just favour Howarth for his knowledge of tracks over here

Lynn look a bit weak top end ...Then again  Peterborough  won the league a fews back with strength  in depth ...hard to call ....

I'm not so sure about that. I think it's more likely that a few riders will have a spell at reserve during the season. Their averages are so close.

As I understood it Freddy moves into the top five after the first league meeting and unless one of the 6 pointers has a disaster it will be Pickering who drops to reserve.

I think that's exactly how it will pan out, I expect the senior reserve to change every month.

Jakobsen will get 4 matches before he moved up (2 x KOC) plus an away league match before the home league match he needs to get a new average. Should give Lynn an early season boost.

It'll definitely be Pickering dropping to reserve as the rest of the team won't get new averages when Jakobsen does!

Think that's a little unfair on Bjarne to be honest, was a good servant to British speedway and always tried,in his prime certainly wasn't average and think he had quite a say in Peterborough's league title in 2021.

Don't say that  to Birmingham fans known there as Bjarne Pedalbike.

Strange question to ask here i know, but I don't want to create a whole new thread just to ask a question, but do League cup (or whatever you call it now) and KOC fixtures count towards the rider average?

Also can Tact sub rides be used in either cup competition?

Cup matches don't count towards averages (nor do certain league matches if it suits an agenda.....)
