Looks like both Drew Kemp and Anders Rowe may not have a team place in the UK at start of the season. Both are on above 5 point averages. That awkward figure with a 40 point limit. Both were heralded as future GB stars. Also likely to miss out are the 2 Americans. Nichol and Ruml.

Add Dan Thompson to that list. Also Batch the highest average rider missing out?

Poole don't look special to me but if riders aren't performing they will be ruthless and splash the cash on some foreigner on a 5point average.

Poole will be ruthless but won't splash the cash, your getting us mixed up with a team alot further north

Couldn't give a jot about Yanks to be honest.

Shame about Dan,  but Kemp and Rowe have developed a reputation for being high maintenance and sulkers.

Hopefully all 3 can find opportunities and that 2 of them can reflect that behaviour and demeanour off the track can be as important as points on it.

But true

It's certainly true that the Facenna brothers have splashed the cash on their track, equipment, facilities and in the Community.

Stadium Owners who have invested and that's why Team GB ride internationals there and FIM and SGP are happy to allocate major Fixtures.

Two straight talking guys who don't seek the limelight.

As for Poole, erm tenants, no investment in track or stadium, backhand deals and gazumping riders like Lawson and Roynon.

Jury won't be out very long on disproving Arthur's fairy tales.

They have certainly invested in the track, best it's been for years, with the uncertainty with the stadium why would they invest in it at this present time

What's this with the Roynan thing, new one on me

Nothing to do with being a the main or major team GB sponsor for those GB meeting. Could be wrong but do you not also bid (as in with cash) to host these meeting rather than selected not sure if still the case now however.

I think it’s criminal if young  dan Thompson doesn’t find a place to ride in this league what sort of message does that send out to the young riders that we will bring foreign riders in before using our own no wonder people become  disillusioned with our sport.

This is British Speedway in a nutshell, a young, polite, loyal, improving rider who has probably had his best year ever, be high on confidence and thinking he's ticking all the right boxes and could well find himself out in the cold.

To me, the team average should be high 40s if not low 50s, makes no difference if teams can't build to the maximum but would keep riders like Dan in a job and in the sport.

I am sure Dan would be in a team by now if actual averages from last season were used instead of higher assessed averages applied to some riders.

He would be in Poole's team if they didn't dump after they had agreed a deal, now other teams have stayed true to the riders who they've agreed deals with and dan doesn't have a club to begin the season with in the championship.

Are you sure this is true?
