B S N Premiership Pass

All in for the BSN packages, discovery/Eurosport et al can go do one, they show the sport only when they feel like it, at least with BSN they show a meeting every week or sometimes two meetings over 14 days.

If there was one other provider I would consider for a speedway fix it would be prem sports as they cover a ton of Polish and Swedish meetings.

Did Premier Sports show Polish League last year? They are called ViaPlay now and doesn't look like they will be showing Sweden next year as currently no host broadcaster.

I think you know what I meant, Eurosport shows a meeting once in a blue moon, where as even if BSN miss a week, they will show two the following week to make up for it ;-)

Because BSN is a dedicated platform for Speedway, Eurosport covers some of the most popular sports for an International audience with Speedway being one of their lowest popular.

Eurosport are contracted to X amount of meetings including play offs so would never be able to show weekly meetings.

Reminds me of reading the numerous facebook speedway pages of "is there a meeting on tv this week" "they had one last week" "not being on weekly isnt good enough" "it was better when sky sports had it" when all they are doing is fitting speedway into their schedule and fulfilling the contract as agreed

They are not a dedicated speedway platform

Was only going to sign up for one package but got some money off the mother in law for Xmas so signed up for both. Unsure what to do about Discovery+ next year , bit bored with the GPS and the friendly rivalry between the GP riders

Nice one. There will be plenty of speedway for you to watch in 23 with both packages:t:. I've just gone for the Prem one.

Thinking of getting this..how does it work..does it come up as an app on a smart tv?

Hi Chris.

BSN won’t come up as an app on your Smart TV. You would need to use your TVs browser to access the website (watch.britishspeedway.co.uk). You can then sign in there quickly using a QR code once you’re registered on the site.

Its best to sign up via a phone, tablet or laptop/desktop first before using a Smart TV to watch.

If you have any other questions, feel free to drop us an email to support@exstreammedia.co.uk and we can help further.

Hiya Ben I couldn't get BSN on my Samsung TV browser last season but was told that's been sorted for this season. Any idea if that's the case

Hi Bruno.

It should work with your TV now. You can test it quite easily by playing our test stream which is on the home page, or by logging in to your account and using our free content which now includes all of 2022’s BSN streams.

Our new website went live last week, so you will need to log in if you haven’t already done so, and the website will prompt you to create a new password first (I’d advise a phone, table or laptop to do that as it will be quicker).

Again, drop us an email if you have any issues.

Thanks!

It won't play the free content on my smart tv...obvs this is a deal breaker..I sent an email anyway to see if there's a way round it..I'm hoping so as I'm not interested in watching on my phone or laptop..This has not made me want to purchase it if it doesn't work on my TV.

Have you had any response from BSN re: your TV issue?

I can watch the content on my Samsung TV, but have lost ‘full control’ of the stream since the ‘new’ website was launched - and I’ve just emailed BSN asking if these are known issues and can be rectified.

On the ‘old’ BSN website I could watch on both my PC and Samsung smart TV with ‘full control’ of the stream. As I’m often unable to watch the matches ‘live’, I was watching them ‘on demand’ a few days later. This meant I could ‘fast forward’ between races if I was short of time and ‘rewind’ to watch races/incidents over again.

And, if I couldn’t finish watching the match in one viewing, I’d make a note of where I was up to and then I could go back (usually the next day) and ‘fast forward’ to start watching again at the point I’d reached the day before. As I said, I could do this on both my PC and Samsung TV and, obviously, I much preferred watching on my TV.

With the ‘new’ / relaunched website, though, I can only do this on my PC.  I have no control over the stream whilst watching on the Samsung TV.

I only found this out as I started to watch a match I’d not seen before the other night, and had reached heat 5 when the ‘phone rang. Rather than hit ‘pause’ I exited the stream. Going back into BSN after the ‘phone call, I found I couldn’t ‘fast forward’ the stream to heat 5 and was faced with watching the first 1 hour and 10 minutes all over again!! So I started the stream for 5 minutes or so and then tried to ‘rewind’ to listen again to something one of the presenters had said – but I found I couldn’t.

I then went to check my PC and found I could indeed move to start the stream at 1 hour 10 mins and watched the rest of the match.

In all honesty, though, if I knew I was going to have this problem when trying to watch on the TV, I might well not have renewed. I'm hoping, therefore, that BSN will reply offering a way of restoring watching on the TV to how it was on the ‘old’ website.

Well, I received a very prompt and informative reply from Martin at BSN in which he explained the situation with TV browsers, and how the old website did not work on many at all. They will take a look at the points I raised but he did say "Our biggest issue with TV browsers is making it work on so many different types."

Martin also mentioned:-

"However, we do have a nifty new feature on the new website. As you'll see, below the video is the results. For 2023 meetings, if you click the heat number it will fast forward to the exact point that race begins. This could help with your issue also.

We have it set up on the meeting below for you to see it in action."

Yes tbf they did respond and said it must be an old smart tv where the software doesn't work (it's 4 years old) ...Sounds like it's more trouble than it's worth to watch a speedway match on tv... shouldn't be that difficult..I'll pass I think.

Couldn't link your laptop to tv using hdmi cable to watch on tv?
