Surely this move actually makes sense? It’s only short term for the end (I can’t believe I’m saying end at the beginning of July) of the season. Berwick have 4 meetings then and by replacing an injured rider with R/R taken by 3 riders with a proven heat leader it gives them the bottom team in the league a bit more respectability and a chance to win in their final 2 home meetings. However if Boxall does hit the ground running, what’s the odds that he sneakily misses the final away meeting to not get a new average

Depends how many points he scores does it not.

Don’t understand the negativity around signing Boxall and yes I know the irony of me being positive for a change but it’s clear Boxall is trying to make a comeback and his scores on the IOW prove he’s still very capable.

Perfectly sensible move bringing him in for a long term injured rider with a few meetings to go to see how he gets on with a view to next season for possible both the Bullets and Bandits?

It certainly makes the Bullets meeting next week a lot more interesting for me and makes me much more likely to spend the money and hang around for it.

That Aussie youngster Doolan has been on the phone offering to Captain the Bullets next season!!

Doolan would still do a good job in the Bandits never mind Bullets team

The crowd for the last double header must have been decent enough, as the prices for this weekend's meetings are the same.  But, at least he car park is free.

*You get a FREE programme IF you book online in advance - will fans  be falling over themselves to get it?

At least there is a strong chance of two home wins (given Plymouth have managed a single home win all season and Belle Vue Colts just don't do away wins).

Good idea with the free program though as they will know exactly how many they require with likely eff all paying on the gate.....wonder if they will be hand drawn printed..

I’m afraid £32 on the day won’t attract the casual fan.IMO

At £32 id be staggered if it attracted the most hardened and affluent fan......even then who else other than that one fan will show up?

Considering you can watch on stream for £11.99 /£9.99 for 1 match,or both for £17.99.I does seem strange pricing strategy.

I noticed that when Edinburgh are hosting their double header, fans who only want to watch the first match, will get money back of they leave before the second one. But as that is Monarchs vs Bandits followed by Academy vs Bullets, you'd think it's not so necessary to offer that! But how many Plymouth fans want to watch Belle Vue & vice versa?

I think it was mentioned at the time that the crowd that night wasn't much over 200.

The pricing was ridiculous for the last double header and is again for this one.

Probably get a better entry if it was advertised as a peaceful evenings walk / cycling. Ditch the racing and enjoy the peace for 3 hours, on site catering and free parking

If you could guarantee 3 hours peace, you'd have many subscribers?
