So it wouldn't be 4-0. They also announced if the both legs were tied the super heat in the second leg would would for the match points & the bonus point! Cheers The summary I read didnt make either of those points

The Premiership tries to operate at a standard higher than that of the riders who want to ride in Britain. That’s why Lynn couldn’t replace Iversen (as well as the Polish leagues rule, the points limit for last year should have accounted for this anyway). That then trickles down the levels. I don’t disagree with you about the league trying to operate at a higher standard - but I do disagree and think it’s rubbish about their not being a rider shortage. There 100% is. If you lower the standard even more then that would only make even less riders available with the likes of Doyle, Holder, Fricke etc not riding over here. kelvinht
Playoffs should be no more than 2 teams out of 7 really. If its extended further, then teams should start matches with additional points graded on finishing position - otherwise no benefit to finishing top......maybe add 4 points per match for finishing top, 2 for second, 1 for third, nothing for fourth. Top place finisher v 4th place would start with 8 point aggregate advantage...
The Dog
I think we need to give these promoters more credit. Within hours of the points total being announced riders find themselves having a job having negotiated deals and held talks with different clubs in different countries, working out logistics etc, and promotors solve and finalise the teams so quickly! So impressive! Almost like they already know....

I think it's fair to say that there is not a rider shortage... but there are a shortage of riders that want to ride in Britain. If there weren't there wouldn't be uncontrolled doubling up. If riders do want to ride in Britain but promoters are choosing to go down the doubling up route instead then that is a recipe for disaster
tocha
Although not part of this topic, is anybody else having difficulty in accessing the BSPL website. I still get the usual message regarding the establishment of a secure connection but no further. It has been like this for the past couple of days. I was having a problem last night, but it seems fine now. For what it's worth, it looked like I passed the security check (?) but the connection to the actual website failed. Daniel Smith
Who are King's Lynn's & Peterborough's new promoter's / owners? I'd guess King's Lynn is Allitt & Brady permanently taking over? Or is it totally new people?

Gasser90
Tomalin will own pboro but he won’t be a promoter, I think that will be Carl or allitt. not sure what’s happening at lynn. Don’t know if Brady is buying the club or the promotion, either way I think allitt will promote for both clubs as he has done for the last few years

The original Rising Star list is now 2 years old so it will be interesting to see who is on the new list & how they have been graded & by what criteria. Before it went by age & not experience or average even though a reduction of 25% was mentioned in topics.

The grading doesn't matter at all, Prem clubs can use any RS, so there is actually no need to have riders graded from 1-4.

Surely Dan Bewley is the correct definition of a "rising star" NL riders who can't even reach the minimum 3.00 ave would be in the list but clearly aren't "rising stars"
