Said he needed 1000 to break even Average gates around 500. Publically stated earlier in season his company that makes badges is covering shortfall on a weekly basis. That's a lot of badges, does he supply Chinese Army and Indian Cricket Supporters Club. No obvious sign of massive new sponsor uptake. Maybe he has a wealthy sleeping partner(S) His own quoted figures suggest he is over 6 figures down and invested. It's impossible to knock the guys commitment but sanity and economics suggest he can't carry on year after year. As for a competitive team, we await one but that would just increase losses. I'm thinking tarasenko might've been one of them. Our press release said another team tried to sign him but had visa issues We got very very close to signing several very high profile riders, signings which would have shocked you all. The lack of meetings on offer proved to be the biggest stumbling block. yes, Birmingham were more than aware that Tarasenko was available on a 5 point average. ….., Nigel trolley was correct, if we had got one of possibly two of the signings over the line, we would have been a threat to anyone, home or away. snd , yes, the promotion would have been able to find the proposed signings. Something that they've only experienced two or three times in a 2-year period. Probably only if it makes them stronger? Brummies23
Surprised we havnt made any team changes. Need 2 heat leaders. Adam Ellis? Or Chris holder since his back in Britain? Can’t roll up to Poole and home to Plymouth with this starting line up. Better get a better 1-7 next year if we’re racing.

Deano
Bumped into Nigel Tolley in Cardiff, very approachable. I got the feeling he’s in this for the journey and does have political support beyond the greyhound track if that goes.

The track is almost certainly going - the greyhound staff have already been offered jobs at Monmore....... He has a lot of ideas some of which include staying where we are. You might be best grabbing him and having a chat he is open about them. I wouldn’t want to put them on here though. I have confidence he is the best person. I didn’t realise looking at my bank statement he sells the GP programmes. So his involvement goes far beyond badges. Over a year before that is due to happen, after the next speedway season as it takes that long to get the new set up sorted appropriately

Ladbrokes/Entain own Monmore, ARC (a different group) lease Perry Barr it's ARC that have applied for a new Greyhound track at there own Horse racing Track in Wolvo, Monmore Greyhounds will be continuing at Monmore indeed it is according to the spokesman the injuries caused by Shale on the Greyhound track that the Speedway has been given notice at Monmore, even if the Greyhounds move from Perry Barr to Wolvo the Speedway could still continue at Perry Barr, in actual fact it could be to the Brummies benefit if they continue at PB because if PP is applied for to develop PB the council who own PB may feel duty bound to provide the Brummies with an alternative venue. Steve Shovlar
Not sure why Wolverhampton don’t move to Birmingham for their home meetings. Not very far and Mondays might be available. Could keep Wolves going next season.

I doubt planning permission would be granted at accommodate an extra team tbh, that plus the fact they don't particularly want Birmingham there.
