Weakest reserve pairing in the league now. Joe Thompson has been very poor since signing., on current form, the only point they will score will be in heat two !!

joe needs to rapidly improve or he will be out when the new averages come out on the 23rd. Same goes for Dan or he won’t be far behind Joe out of the  door

First thing we need to go now, is change the riding order :

1:   Morris

2:   Dan Thompson

3:   Sedgemen

4:   Bowtell

5:   Batchelor

6:   Hagon

7:   Joe Thompson

Honestly... I think that team looks pretty strong now... Fair play Dickson, he kept to his word

Not seen those two in the flesh yet this season so hard to judge but up to now, joe has been dreadful since signing snd young hagon isn’t there to score points, he’s there to free up the points to bring in Batchelor.

I hope we stick with young hagon for the rest  if the season now, even if he doesn’t trouble the scorers. Ablitt barely scored all season last year but he’s really coming on snd starting to blossom now. Let’s hope hagon gets the same patience.

James.  Pearson had been give more time snd opportunity st Birmingham then he would have had anywhere else. Yes, he has improved a bit this season but has not at any time achieved his assessed four point average snd did not look like doing so. 24 races this year. No heat wins, four seconds snd the rest, minor placings

I snd most other Brummies fans really like James snd wanted to see him do well but, he ‘s the sacrificial lamb needed , in order to be able to bring in a heat leader.
just emphasises the lack of the third heat leader in the original team at the start of the season

Saw Pearson in the flesh for the first time at Kent yesterday and am baffled how he doesn't score his average at CL. Certainly one of the better first time visitor performances, beating Morley on the way even if he wasn't awarded the win and certainly quicker than Hagon. Im guessing not enough wiggle room to have kept Pearson over Joe?

Some people say Poole have strongest reserves in the league, but Sam Hagon beat them both at Poole in separate races in the Poole Vs Swindon meeting. As long as Brum have a grippy outside line like Danny King likes, he should do well.

Does anyone know if Batchelor is already in the UK? Wouldnt he need a visa to ride which would take a few weeks to get signed off?

Or was the Batchelor move already in motion when Rogers was in charge? Will he be available Wednesday?

Personally i think Batchelor is a good signing. Did well with Kent and largely did ok for Ipswich at the tricky no.5 spot.

Sedgman having a great year so keep at 5 and bring Batch in to the engine room with Bowtell. Its an improvement for sure!

I think batch will be fine at home for you as he has had some good scores around perry barr and linking up with Morris again can only be a positive.Remember to bring in the fans you have to win at home

Correct. Just purely numbers, James leaving not Joe

I went to Kent yesterday. I’ve never seen such sn unusual  arrangement with different start snd finish lines.
with the refs box in line with the start line, how does he judge close finishes like the one you referred to from yesterday?
I was sat mid way between the start snd finish line snd I had absolutely no idea who had won that race so how on earth did the ref call it from even further back!

I agree. Of all the 2 point riders in this league young Sam is one of the better ones.

Lets hope Batch has kept himself and his machinery upto scratch (hardly race-fit?!) to do the Biz for Brummies.

As for next season surely Fridays would be the option, with doubts over Edinburgh and always the possibility that Glasgow might 'move up'!!
