So it's predictions time. Who will be the seventh rider. An experienced rider from overseas,  a British rider with years of experience or an un known German?             (Wild guesses only.)

Who ever it is don't think it will make the team play off contenders?

They definitely filled the hype, I don't see it myself

JP had very little 500cc experience and is definitely one for the future.

Hell definitely need more core strength and its a shame he doesn't appear to qualify for NDL as that would have boosted his development.

He seems emotionally mature though which will serve him well and his winter results have shown real progress in his own environment.

If he and Brummies persevere no reason why he can't hit 4 plus in 23 and then improve again.

Let's not forget he arrived as a 16 year old not in his early 20s like some he's been unfairly compared with.

Plenty - 6 in the whole season 3H & 3A, a 4 pt rider that averaged just over 2.

I saw him on 2 occasions home and away against Glasgow and he scored 1 in both meetings. A wee boy who looked out of his depth.

With all the 2pt reserves and in a second season hopefully he'll do better next year

To be fair to the lad Ashfield is a very intimidating track for younger riders, the first time i saw Jacob Hook at Glasgow he looked like he'd just started riding speedway for the very first time.

Fair point, but with the hype comparing him with Darcy Ward, so the comparisons will be made with what Ward did as a 16yo, 17yo etc etc. From memory, Ward was scoring maximums within his first few meetings, hence the disappointment with Pearson in comparison.

Some idiot posted in the wrong topic

I'll try not to do it again

As Lewy liked it

The ZK and Poo Pirates gossip will be everlasting unless all the fans who say they know what happened say what happened to cause his hasty transfer along the coast

As for those who put him down because of his age, remember John Louis didn't take up speedway until his late 20s and did far more in his career than plenty of youngsters who followed  within a far bigger pool of riders.

Before anyone jumps on the bandwagon of slagging me off for comparing different era's. I know the sport is generally a young man's game.

A rider who showed real speed and promise on a few occasions a few years ago, could suit Brummies or Plymouth!

Valentin Grobauer.

Not sure what he's doing these days but worth a look maybe?

I think Connor Bailey just squeezes in after the British rider reduction so he could be the last rider announced.

Crazy that he is saddled with a four point average when really he is a two point man, Brummies straight away taking a two point hit in the team total.

What I will say though is that because James is from Australia, there is more emphasis on him to make it because it’s a long way to go home if you don’t make it.

Justin is a good rider, I like him from his short time at Lakeside but he’s not a second heat leader in the traditional sense.

Birmingham might get away with it at home but I think they will have some drummings on the road and not pick up any bonus points.

Speedway Star says Connor Bailey only riding NDL and Polish u24 league. Brummies looking at several foreign options!!

Totally agree with this rule though, if you can sign a Brit on a 2.5 ave & a foreigner of the same standard on a 4.0 ave I know what i'd go for!
