I didn't realise Birmingham only had 4.22 to play with for their final rider... They look incredibly weak imo :( What a shame

Morris on an inflated average

3 second strings

Sedgmen isn't really a number 5?

Still unsure about Pearson

4.22 for final rider isn't a lot

I hope I'm proved wrong...

According to confirmed signings, we have 4.79 left...however, I think it will be a foreigner on 4 !

Yes, I agree, we look very weak....who's put this team together ?

I think Birmingham's issue stems from missing out on josh P. Meant had to go for Nick who takes an extra point n halfish. If you had 5.5 for last rider would definitely look far stronger

Not sure who on 5.5 would've made a difference...looking at who's available?

I think lowering Team Ave to 40 has caused more of an issue? we've known for a while that Edinburgh were returning, so plenty of time to take a different path...

I think we will be fair at home, which is an improvement on last season....(Vissing/Auty/Ellis were woeful signings) but that's history!

Think a few fans think lowering the Limit was a bad idea.

Absolutely agree about the limit. Yes but by that time I'd imagine all the top riders would already have deals in place elsewhere.

Ruml, Nicol, kemp just off top of my head better than any of the possible options seen fit the 4.22. manzares was crap last time he was here would need massive improvement since he went away to be worthwhile imo

Not to mention that Josh Pickering is an improvement over Nick Morris too...

I'm lost... Why has James Wright's average gone back to his starting 2022 average and not the average he finished with Scunthorpe at the end of 2022, is it because he didn't do enough meetings with Scunthorpe this year for him to get a new average??

How can the average system be so overly complicated for what it is...

1 Nick Morris 10.13
2 Alfie Bowtell 4.28
3 James Wright 5.51
4 Stefan Nielsen 4.82
5 Justin Sedgmen 7.04
6
7 James Pearson 4.00
    35.78
    4.22

I have Birmingham down as this??

Well it's at least not a step down. I like Nick a lot but I don't see him maintaining a 10 point average.

I like Nick too... But Josh is the next step up on the ladder imo... Not quite superstar in this country, but one step below... Where I see Nick as a solid 3rd heatleader in the PL, Josh could go on to be a very good number 5/possible number 1

James Wright's starting average for 2022 was 5.20. His final average for 2022 was 5.65.

So where are people getting the figure 4.94 from? That is his last Diamond's average - 2.5% but his Scunthorpe average (his final 2022 average) was 5.65 (-2.5%) = 5.51

Giving Birmingham 4.22 to play with for their final rider, not 4.79 as previously quoted on here???

Which is made up of his 6 Scunny appearances (30 rides 42 pts) this year plus his last 4 matches for Newcastle in 2021 (21 rides 30 points)

72/51*4 = 5.65   QED
