I think the Thompsons may have reached their level, not seen much in the way of progress this year.

I think it's harsh to judge Dan on this season, didn't have a Champ spot till now, which would be the correct level to judge his improvement in. Also did a decent job for Leicester as their RS, posting a better first season average than the likes of Jenkins, Plain, Edwards & Thomas did!

Fair enough I know not had many qualifying meetings this season but thought drop more than that. Is it 10 or 20 meetings? Does anyone really know? Lol

The official GSAs change after 23rd of each month effective 1st of the next month and only include League meetings. The Latest GSAs (issue 13) show no changes yet so for example Morris is still 9.66 I believe.

It is very rare for a rider to peak at 19, unless they completely lose interest in the sport. I think it more likely they will continue to mature, adjust to being independent adults seperate of each other and their father and return to an upward trajectory.

I think Morris will be gone as well after his performance tonight. Think if he doesn’t score well for lions tomorrow he will be gone from them 2.

I agree...he should be dumped and use his average to get a replacement for him and James Wright (IMO)

Taken from the updates site; His Morris's"Rolling average is 9.24
His 2023 Ave' is 6.49, away is 5.20  and Yesterdays new green sheets has Brummies on 39.61, while Poole are on 39.87 !! :o

When you've lost your only 2 home league fixtures both 36-54 everyone's going to have a low league average.

However over all home meetings this season Nick is averaging 9.04 (8.44 excluding bonus points) but he's been a 5pt rider away.

Justin Sedgmen is the opposite cannot win races at home only averaging 5.33 (5.00) but is an 8 point rider away. You've got to hope he can turn around his home form as he scored well last year and is performing well away and in the Premiership.

The problem is 3 & 4 failing to produce anything and nothing special out of reserve. Got to give the Thompson boys a chance.

The best solution might be to replace Wright & Pearson for a 7 & a 2  point rider but where are you going to find a 7 point rider?

Hans Anderson rides Denmark but they have a summer break coming in July so maybe he's Birmingham's best hope

The Danish break might give some options for 28 days or 6 weeks. Andersen, Ellis, Sam Jensen if looking for 5.5. but what happens come play offs if get there. Then again Stewart and Tolley might just think short term have exciting team get fans back for a month?

i think Sam Jensen would probably come over no probs  but would need a visa which will cost a lot of money would they fund it
