*JJ
According to today's Speedway Star, the Brummies have 'agreed terms with their first rider for 2023'. I wonder who?

GiveusaB
I think Pearson will return....I also think that Lee Complin might be a target ?
torpointfanatic22
Surely Pickering has to be the Brummies number one if he leaves the Monarchs. He's outrageously good at Perry Barr.
HGould
How about Sam Masters? The out and out number 1 we've craved for. Lives locally, I think it's a toss up between us and Oxford.

spin king
I would imagine the first signing will be Justin Sedgmen. The club Promoters seem to like him and he likes them. As for Pickering the ship sailed when Edinburgh announced that they would be running next season. If it was me I would be looking riders who are Leicester this season and try for those riders. Kyle Howarth and Connor Mountain are two riders that I would be looking at.
uk_martin
At this point in previous seasons the Brummies Facebook Page would have run about half a dozen videos featuring James Shanes...and a couple featuring Ashley Morris. Indeed, the Brummies Facebook page gave James Shanes more exposure than Fox News gave to Donald Trump. That hasn't happened this year. Is their absence a hint of a fresh broom sweeping clean?

Maybe you could be right. And just maybe neither one will be in next year's team?
Petecc
Maybe Nigel Tolley has more up his sleeve than his arm and a rabbit in his hat.

Gerbat1875
Think it will be James Pearson, please not Shane's or Morris, at least with Pearson he may improve, Shanes and Morris get worse by the day

It could be another of those "until the Swedish season starts" kind of contracts. It might even feature a guarantee that in the event of sustaining a season ending injury, the team won't be redeclared with a replacement rider, so that they don't have to feel lonely and like they've been thrown onto the scrap heap.

*JJ
According to the Sppedway Star (again), James Shanes is struggling to recover from injuries, and will cut down on his speedway racing, to concentrate on grasstrack and longtrack, so unlikely to be back. Ash Morris did not show up well last year.
