You've got to laugh at the KO cup draw. Plymouth v Poole again. As if that wasn't pre-agreed.

This sport is an utter joke to be honest and I feel for supporters who genuinely care about their clubs. A reduction in the points limit, a reduction in home meaningful matches and the saviour being the aggregate bonus point. Seriously!!??

Year after year the useless powers at be avoid the key issues and they continue to dodge the elephant in the room that is; the sport is dying in this country and radical changes need to be made.

I couldn't agree more things need doing differently think outside the box the ppl in charge are clueless.. who's bright idea was it to lower the points limit & then clubs will be charging more for admission next Yr...insane stuff plz whoever you are turn off the lights & just go away now

Just wondering if the desired effect of lowering the team building average has been achieved, because I don’t see a single number 1 from last season not riding in the championship again. That is if the goal was to increase the Gap between championship and premiership teams.

Sam masters and Nick Morris are retained with over 10 point averages. All that teams seem to have done is reduce the experience in the Reserves to maintain the big hitters from last year.

it’s the high four and five pointers that seem to be team less at the moment, Ruhml,Broc,Connor,Morley,Dan Thomson……….

Is this a good thing? Are the two pointer reserves getting flung in at the deep end?

In an ideal world the top 6 or 7 riders from last year would have left the Champ & just done Prem with Poland / Sweden.

That would have lowered costs with the highest earners missing out. Also should've made the standard of top & bottom Champ riders closer together for better racing.

As what always happend though, top riders are retained, 2.00 reserves added in, 4/5 point riders miss out & the gulf between the strongest & weakest in the Champ gets larger!

Which to be fair was always how it used to be in both leagues...

Teams will always start building teams from "the top" unless no riders left are available of that level.

These teams will then go for "strength in depth"...

When points limits are reduced the middle level riders invariably become the ones that lose their places..

It does though mean better rider availability for replacements to riders of a similar level through the season...

I know I’m in the minority but with the bonus point situation I don’t think Berwick are as weak as most seen to think, especially if Flint and Knudsen show improvement expected.Like the look of Redcar.

I think -- given a reasonably injury-free season for a change -- Berwick will be in the play-ofs.
