Can you name anyone on his average you'd replace him with? Ellis would be converted pren average probably too high, rasser I think was over 9 in his spell with us. Guests are better than the alternatives imo

Adam Ellis had a Championship average of 7.54 on the set of averages when he left the Brummies May last year.

Yes but as he didn't start season in champ I believe any average given now would be a prem conversion

I'm under the impression that Ellis could sign on his Champ average as his Prem ave hasn't changed, but come May 1st he'd be on a converted ave

Yeah only ones I can think of ride in Poland as well so maybe some fixture clashes. Crazy that you can't get a replacement in for a No1 rider though! Guess that is the times we live in now.

I think guests will be stronger than any replacement Edinburgh could find, so no point even looking imo!

Ever the optimist…..

If the rumoured limits are correct I can’t see a world that an Edinburgh team could fit Masters in sadly. With that in mind I’d be keeping Josh and speaking with Ritchie Worrall or Cookie. In the lower end of the team I’d be keeping Hook and probably giving Lee Complin a run at reserve if he fancied it. The middle order is tough and if you go with a 7.00 rider like Sedgmen or Thomson then your second strings are 4.00 riders really.

Positivity only on this thread btw….. :)

Sedgmen showing tonight he’d have been a good signing.

Assuming he would have wanted to return. I'm sure he had a verbal spat with Harkess when Edinburgh got rid of him a few seasons ago.

I'd say that if he has an exisiting average obtained from the previous (2022) season then that would count (without the deduction), should his Championship average be from seasons before then either the conversion from the other league or an assessed average would be applied

Adam Ellis has an established PL average for 2023 (6.75 effective 1st April) which takes precedence over any CL average from previous seasons.

Edinburgh announced at 8-30 pm tonight during the Premiership matches that Josh would be replaced tomorrow night by Richie Worrall

so I think that was already done before tonight’s meeting

I thought Richie Worrall had shoulder ligament injuries!!?

Superb meeting yesterday at Armadale and all the young lads and lasses put on some great entertainment in the British Youth Championships and i thoroughly enjoyed the 44,000 heats for only a tenner. There were a couple of nasty looking crashes but thankfully everyone was able to walk back to the pits and everyone seemed to improve in confidence as the meeting wore on.

The future of British speedway looks bright.

Unfortunately Caydin Martin withdrew with a broken wrist.  Didn't get the paperwork until late so too late to announce.
