But at least he got one

Still won more than Workington over the years.

So taking that into account it’s a mute argument

Few days old now but helluva story and one I wasn't aware of

I remember reading this a few months ago or maybe it was in one of Lee's video blogs, i can't remember but he did recover quickly from it and it wasn't why he put a pause on his speedway career, i believe he reached this decision long after the crash because i remember him racing in 2009 and 2010.

Lee stopped riding after his crash at Scunthorpe in 2012 ,he badly broke his collerbone .I was there and like many other thought Nick Morris was to blame, ironically Morris guested in place of him at Leicester the following evening.

I've often wondered what level he would have reached if hadn't retired and i think his career would have been very similar to Ben Barker's, his former team-mate at Stoke as they are around the same age, the same height and they are both very aggressive and passionate racers. At the time i thought Lee would have had slightly the better career as he is more of a natural speedway rider (imo) than Ben but there wasn't much between them.

Not so sure, great entertainer but couldn’t gate.Away from home for Bandits was mediocre when it mattered.

Pretty sure he went right over the 3rd bend fence during a double header in 2009 or 2010 (?). Only broke his ankle that time. Wasn't his fault though as the rider in front slid off right in front of him and he unintentionally used him as a ramp and just took off.

Barker is just a wasted talent, his career could have been so much better if he wasn’t such a idiot at times.

He did land beside us one meeting on the 4th bend can’t remember who he was riding with at the time.

Was that complin, had in my head was someone else for some reason.

Definitely Complin who cleared the fence and landed on the terracing on the 4th bend.

Also recall another rider doing the same it was in the home straight, it may have been Kieszak.

Yep. It must have been 2009 because he moved to Berwick in 2010. I've also been trying to remember who he went over and i believe it was Chris Schramm.
