Maybe a reason your trophy cabinet remains empty, may need a different type of team management?? If that's true its quite different to pre season targets but in any case riders need a little bit of pressure if you want to be successful. Not too much but at the same time not ambling around pressure free and unmotivated. Team spirit and togetherness is the key for me though good team managers and captain will cultivate that early on and keep it going even when results aren't great.

Wouldn’t think so.Think a couple were given there wages up front though, don’t think that will be the case this season.

Paulco
So do we get a 10 point start for sponsoring the league . It's only fair as compensation for a conflict of interests and laughing at sporting integrity

But you do get three snake cards which shift Edinburgh to the bottom of the league every time Blobby has a whinge about the cheque book Tigers. Did you really expect ladders cards as well? 1

Noelinho
Footy channel on YouTube, looking at Shawfield Stadium. Glasgow Tigers/Scottish Monarchs get a brief mention. Not a lot of footage but a few pics/short videos:

tyretrax
Good to put a face to the person who entered Shawfield ilegally and carried out acts of vandalism. Did the video guy not see the Clyde Clown tie the scarf or put the sticker on the post? The stadium isn't abandoned as there is still staff working there. Weeyin
Have great memories from Shawfield days, had a gap from speedway before returning in 2009 to Ashfield, didn't take long to be addicted again, having experienced the heydays in the 70's with numerous teams it is sad that we are down to current levels, it is still a magical sport, hoping that it doesn't disappear altogether in next few years

Hopefully the sport won't die out but we need to sort out our cost base. Right now we have a standard we can't afford. If/when the number of tracks falls to about ten, we could have the much hoped for "big league " but at that point the costs need to be brought down to what the lesser clubs can afford. In the heyday of the 70s most riders had a day job and were semi professionals, had one bike and no mechanic. We need to get back to this approach ... but getting there is going to be difficult. However the sports long term future depends on it.
