Asda can't sell milk at £5 a pint, they have to compete with the others. Speedway has to compete with cinema, pizza or even going out at all. In any business control of costs is paramount otherwise its disaster for any business and speedway is no different. Controlling costs has to be the way forward, cheaper bikes, whatever, that's the big question. £22 this year, £25 next - its the road to oblivion. .....and then we'll get less for our money when they revert to the old 13 heat format

Made a big deal of being rent free for us and ashfield juniors at the time of the takeover There are large intra company payments/receipts between Tigers, Ashfield Allied, Tigers parent company , and Allied Vehicles so could possibly include notional rent. Well when some promoter are insisting NDL riders must have two bikes then the money must be better than its made out to be.

Noelinho
Glasgow’s running costs were six figures in the negative in 2019, and I don’t see anything to indicate they’ve improved. Crowds certainly aren’t up. So I don’t think I’d be worrying too much about any possible notional rent to the profitable company that keeps the club going. For all the transformation of the facilities, and the success of running FIM events, I don’t think it’s turned into anything like a break even venture. I’m sure they’re trying to change that, of course. But it’s a big gap. 3

Don’t implicate yourself on any reply and be sure to mention the following. However I would not endorse any practice that may impact the integrity of the sport. And also I emphasise that Edinburgh would not partake in any underhanded payments to there riders. 1
