Cast1rn
No guarantees, so he’ll be racing for every point. heat 13 and 15 with Basso is going to be worth the entrance alone.

I’m confident both sides want it to happen. 2 hours ago, Fromafar said: Not sure about Nowak being a good signing,if it’s for home advantage I’m sure Bailey would cover that on a lower average. Connor had a great average at reserve, but struggled more when he was at 2, even at home. Nowak’s average in three home matches far outstripped Connor’s home average from any year. Only Craig had a better a average of the regulars (and Tom, who topped the home averages, but from three matches).

I'm against us signing a rider on Harris' average, at Harris' age and with Harris' past weekend commitments. For the avoidance of doubt if Lawson and Harris were on the same average I'd want Harris! I'm genuinely not that bothered about my team winning trophies. I pay my money to be entertained and Harris is more entertaining than Lawson. I just think it makes more sense, as the objective of the management is of course to actually win trophies, to sign Lawson over Harris. Yeah, I’d prefer Harris for the entertainment, although it’s a big average with the limit where it is. Lawson’s very good, but I want a rider to make me draw breath, like Ben does, or Rasser did, or Ulle before his injury.

There has to be a reason “if” he’s chosen to leave Berwick for Glasgow and I’m sure it’s not the love of the M74. Without the guarantees this year he’s going to have to perform and if he doesn’t then I’m positive the Ashfield terraces will voice there opinion. Taking Ben at 5 and I’m assuming Tom at 3 with the two 5 pointers at 2 and 4 left us with 8.9 ish for 1. So you either max it out with Chris Harris or take Danny king,Scotty Nichols or stick with Cookie.

Fair point but would still rather have Lawson on a lower average. Whoever lines up in April representing Glasgow they as always will receive the full backing from the terracing. I would have Lawson in any team possible, he’s consistency is unreal, I just don’t see Poole letting him go and as is rumoured Danny King is moving on they definitely won’t be. Not so much the M74 as Glasgow Airport perhaps offering better options? Mind you at Berwick he would have had the choice of Edinburgh or Newcastle. And then we witness all of this and discover he was on a guarantee . So from that perspective you can understand why some fans are against his return. Apart from that alls good. Bomber was on a guarantee at Berwick this season tbf, still done the business week in week out I have to say

Think it was a real struggle to work round his LongTrack and Continental fixture with a Saturday night track. If as said originally there was going to be double the fixtures that wouldn’t help.IMO Dont think he comes cheaply either. Maybe Harris sees going back to Glasgow as unfinished business, certainly one of the best riders in the league and a good signing for Glasgow I think.
