Unlike other illnesses that can cause you to have good and bad days like Migraine, IBS , Gout etc etc, mental illness is not immediately visible and try as they might those who suffer from it can't always control it. That's the nature of the beast of mental illness. I don't make excuses for the guy and I don't think he'd make excuses for himself. I'm sure though that he and millions of others who suffer from it would like a magic cure. Well said, unfortunately people don't understand mental health issues, I don't condone what Craig said but as a mental health nurse, I am aware that things can be said and done that people don't have the same control over. Whilst I agree with the Mental Health issues Craig has and it certainly can’t be easy for him, and as we know can lead to deep depression. But there has to come a point that we have to stop using the issue as a defence . I don’t think anyone would have questioned the crash on Sunday other than a racing incident albeit Bens reaction in the aftermath suggested he thought there was more to it than a racing incident. During the lockdowns nobody seemed to care about schools so i don't see why parents shouldn't take them to the speedway and let them stay off the following day. Give them a scorecard on Tuesday evening and let them learn a bit of maths whilst having fun especially with some of the high scores the Tigers rack up. They'll get a far better education at the speedway that they will in any modern school.
