team manager by name only do you really think they let him make any of the decisions your having a laugh the facena boys are in charge and tell him what to do he is just a fall guy when they get it wrong they might be successful in business but are   far from it in speedway

What decisions does he need to make on a race night?

Again on the team building front, I think the location isn't the greatest to entice riders to sign unless the have a massive love of driving up and down the M74 every week.

they axed one of the best managers to bring that twit as soon as he went to his present club they were bringing in trophies  what more do you need camiknickers is just a face they can blame when it all goes wrong again

So who would you get in to replace him?

i totally agree Dickson is an outstanding manager, but would there still be a tigers team if the Facennas didn't come in?

Stewart Dickson is probably one of the best around but let's remember there were a lot of unhappy Tigers' fans, myself included, with the way he was appointed to replace Ian Steel.

Since 2015 the tigers have reached the play off final three times and the semi final 3 times.

Won the pairs in 2019 which counts as winning something, no?

I would pay money to see what you would moan about if we had won the league the last 8 season straight. Probably come away with saying none of them count as we bought every one.

Try to relax and enjoy yourself Davie boy.

He has made some terrible decisions with who he has selected to put out in ht 15 over the years (eg Danyon Hume at Berwick last season).

There were decisions made which lost us points in matches which affected our final league position and thus opponents last season.

Oh come on what decisions did he have to make at the Pairs

apart from what side of the podium to stand on for photographs and in all honesty a manager isn't really wanted in that photograph.

The only thing he'll win is the title of most photographed manager

While we all now think we should be winning something with the teams we've had, try to remember after 2014 we were nearly gone altogether..and pre 2014, 2011 apart wasn't much to shout about round ashfield. It's night and day in terms of success and entertainment

With all due respect I was responding to Mr Davie in relation to him saying ‘they might be good at business but not speedway’ regarding the Facenas. I was merely pointing out what the tigers had won and how well they have done without winning the league over the last 8 seasons.

Yeah perhaps it's all about existence and survival these days and accepting to just have speedway in the area is a bonus.

Although a Glasgow fan since the late 60s I actually live closer to our two biggest rivals and have seen more meetings there the last number of years as I tend to pick what I consider to be potentially better meetings.

And how much has it cost, Berwick, Edinburgh, Scunthorpe, Birmingham, Oxford, Plymouth,Redcar,Newcastle, Eastbourne and Somerset to win nothing for the last 7 years?

If they pull that 100k a year from the club, how long will it last?

Redcar were KO cup winners in 2019. It costs them a lot less of that sum to run each year.

This could've been better advertised, had no idea it was on!! Good to see some people have interest in putting these things on though

We previously had the exhibition at Summerlee Museum, Coatbridge, and although there was a lot on Facebook no mention of it was made at Ashfield. I have been to Motherwell several times topping up Tigers, and Monarchs, flyers to advertise the speedway. At Summerlee we had former Glasgow, Edinburgh and Berwick riders along with representatives from the W.S.R.A. who are based at the museum in the Paradise Wildlife Park. There will be a Bike Day at Summerlee on Saturday 9th September, 11am until 4pm. Admission is free.
