I've neve understood the phrase doctoring a track, I mean it's the same for all riders in every heat. Of course a home club should set it up to suit their team, why wouldn't they? Even if the gates aren't even, all riders still have one of each gate. As long as the ref ensures the start grids are treated equally throughout, the rest is fair game for me! Again I have far too much time on my hands, page 94 of 2023 rules are clear as mud as to how they calculate the averages and I had a look (again don't judge) at Roynons last 20 eligible rides and Marcins 8 and they seem to be using number of points/ number of rides X 4 and I think again just going off the two guys mentioned that it matches their CMA's including Ex and F. Tape touching does count in the averages. Always has done for as long as I can remember. And I'm ancient!

Alun
What about Glasgows team manager? How is he performing, is he getting the best out of the riders? Glasgow have had very strong teams for the last few years but have won nothing! Is it time to find a new boss?

To be honest, I’ve never really got the thing about team managers having a massive influence on performance. I would say Glasgow’s team presently consists of extremely motivated riders. It’s not like they’re not trying their best so don’t see what difference a different manager would make. There’s a lot of Cami haters on this forum, so I doubt you will get an overall fair opinion.

What choices has he needed to make that would be pivotal in a change in the outcome of a meeting..... None as far as I can see. The biggest change in the team this year motivation wise and support for the boys is Bomber. Again it's only what im seeing from the terraces. But he appears to be there for the boys in every heat of every meeting. I believe he's around the 40 mark and judging by his form is improving like a fine wine. If he likes racing for Glasgow get him tied up for the next few seasons and build your team from there.

So unless someone else is going to pay to do so he won’t be going anywhere. Anyway I’m all for him he makes me laugh so he must stay for the banter. As you say this year's team seems well up for it, but not sure that has always been the case in the past. Cami is in an invidious position not being a promoter or owner so has little "carrot" and no "stick".

Gary flint's direct quote was there's far more involved than filling in the program when he stood down at Berwick. I'm not a cami fan and probably never will be but the facenna's are successful people and if they're deciding to stick with him then who am I to doubt them
