Well, he would definitely seem to be the best option but let’s not forget, the idea of Vissing came from us fans due to his ideal average but there’s been nothing obvious from any other angle to indicate that it may be him. Another thing I noticed was that Cammy Brown is one of Keynan Rew’s friends on Facebook. Kenyan’s average would fit the gap but now the query over his injuries???….just saying…..

I though it was Tate who had the injury?

Don't suppose you checked to see if any of the riders were friends with a tactically aware manager?

Rew was injured at the Week-end ,spinal fractures but appears to be not requiring surgery.

Oh hadn't heard that.

That's sad that the two young lads tipped for places over here have picked up serious injuries.

That's a shame :( I've never seen him, and only really known his name for a couple of months, but it's never a good thing to hear that about any rider. Hope he fully recovers, head injuries are very scary

All the details of Tate's crash after he crossed the line behind Sedgman are in the Australia section of this forum. No broken bones or internal bleeding but he had a couple of seizures whilst down on track. He went home the following day and reckoned to be off the bike for 'a couple of months'!

Tate had been knocked unconscious but worryingly he reportedly suffered several seizures after been taken to hospital.

Protocol in motorsport is you must be free from any seizures for at least 12 months before your licence is renewed.

What I'm getting at is when a circus comes to town you can't move for adverts or flyers. But speedway promotion imo is trying to keep the sport a secret  yes Glasgow do promote but a lot of it is on social media, when my team was alive (comets) we live in an area that's full of tourists, but very very rarely do you see posters trying to attract the tourists or other people from the area . It is a minimal cost to print posters and get out up in shops ets

Circus ,fairgrounds etc have special dispensation on advertising , it is illegal for “other Businesses” to advertise in this way . I think it is down to the nomadic lifestyle they lead and they can get away with 1 weeks dramatic advertising on lamp posts etc .

Going head to head with Edinburgh on a Friday evening was a bad move IMO. Sunday afternoon is more family friendly and you would get the odd punter coming along the M8 for their fix.

We can’t get the Monarchs fans to travel on a Sunday to watch their own team at Ashfield the visiting fans for derby’s is massively down

The suggestion was that he was fitting before going to hospital. I can’t find anything having been said about having “several seizures after being taken to hospital”

Also, I can’t find any reference to a 12 month withdrawal of a motorsport licence. Where did you find that, please? I have seen a six month ban after an epileptic fit, but that’s entirely different.

That's in English law.      Glasgow is subject to Scots Law, quite a few differences.

On subject, a blanket advertising campaign for a specific meeting actually does work if the blanket's heavy enough and placed properly -- but the product on that night has to be really slick, really entertaining to ensure a good proportion of the folk attracted to that specific meeting want to come back.......
