Personally if I were Berwick I would drop Jye to ensure Starke can come in at reserve (a stint at reserve would do him and the club good imo) and bring in a 5.00er for Jye (Jesper Knudsen?) I would imagine unless this 5.00er took off running then Starke would be back in the main body and they would be at reserve... From the outside looking in, Jye seems to be struggling this year...

Something like...

1 Rory Schlein 7.95
2 Jesper Knudsen 5.00
3 Jonas Knudsen 5.00
4 Thomas Jorgensen 7.40
5 Leon Flint 7.26
6 Paul Starke 4.86
7 Connor Coles 2.07

That's a very decent all round team

Not forgetting that next Friday at Redcar will be Jonas 8th meeting so his average will go up .

Berwick`s error was not taking advantage of Jonas Knudson`s false average over the winter, they compounded that by signing Thomas Jorgensen on a falsely high average.

Don’t know if they were caught out with TJ average.Good enough signing but 9+ average not helping given that they lowered Points limit. We will never know though.

So does that mean any changes should be made before then?

They knew full well Jorgenson wasn't going to maintain that average. It doesn't take long to check his annual stats online.

Poor but that is nothing new sadly.

Agree, but I’m not so sure they knew what average was going to be used when they signed, because he was only 7+ in his last season in Championship, but he gave it a miss last season.History now though. The 6th place in the Play offs could still be up for grabs if Plymouth don’t get the finger out .IMO

Good to see they have bit the bullet and are doing this :D. You would assume Oxford not far off doing the same considering same owners? So that just Glasgow as the only ones not doing it.

Are they the same owners? I thought Oxford was owned by a greyhound man and Berwick by the Courtney brothers?

I was speaking to the Boothby brothers, they were in Glasgow a few weeks ago, and one said that Tigers had their rider, Chris Harris.

Edit, They run the greyhounds.
