Berwick 2023.

Recommended Posts

If Berwick have any real ambitions to reach the play offs then more than one change is needed, time will tell if they have and the necessary team  changes take place.

Sadly most of us know the answer to that.

At least Scunny not afraid to ring the changes

I'd go for Jacob Hook on a heartbeat. Hopefully he'll learn to ride Berwick, but he's gotta be better than any 2.00 guest for Stoneman

Unless there are other changes in the pipeline,if Hooks average fitted he would be a decent replacement for Nathan.IMO

I'm now thinking Hook could go to Glasgow so Berwick can get Complin. Probably suit both riders & teams better?

Given watched an NDL match where Blair passed complin at Berwick recently is that an improvement? I also don't see us going for hook, best score of 4 I think at ashfield

Personally if I were Berwick I would drop Jye to ensure Starke can come in at reserve (a stint at reserve would do him and the club good imo) and bring in a 5.00er for Jye (Jesper Knudsen?) I would imagine unless this 5.00er took off running then Starke would be back in the main body and they would be at reserve... From the outside looking in, Jye seems to be struggling this year...

Something like...

1 Rory Schlein 7.95
2 Jesper Knudsen 5.00
3 Jonas Knudsen 5.00
4 Thomas Jorgensen 7.40
5 Leon Flint 7.26
6 Paul Starke 4.86
7 Connor Coles 2.07

If he could be persuaded to change his mind and race in this country this year would Kasper Andersson on about 4.1 average I think not be a better option especially at home

Looking at Kaspers results for Berwick he had a 5.60 gsa at home and a 7.00 gsa away

Berwick wont think like that though.

Don't think they will either... but it's the best they can do if they wanted imo...

If it took another 8 weeks or so to get a visa for Jesper Knudsen like it did for his brother he'd hardly be here in time for the play - offs anyway

Not forgetting that next Friday at Redcar will be Jonas 8th meeting so his average will go up .
