Probably but you never know with speedway.

Think its going back to 20 matches for an average this season and as it stands I think Berwick and Oxford don't have another league match before the end of the month (Oxford have Plymouth in the BSN cup I think).

All very confusing, but it states if the rider has Premiership Assessed Av he needs to ride3 home and 3away to get MA.It lists  TJ as ridden 1 match.Who knows though.

Mr Barrie’s attempt on Bandits Website to explain the low attendance at Berwick’s last Double Header is laughable.3 things caused the perfect storm,he forgot to mention the 4th thing the Admission Prices.Certainly worth a read though.

I for one was planning to go, the only thing that stopped me was the admission price

From the Berwick website

When the fixtures were planned, May 6th was just another date on the calendar. No-one could have appreciated how a greater proportion than expected of the population (and therefore a greater proportion of the potential speedway crowd) would decide to celebrate the Royal day with a knees-up, and give our attraction a miss.

From Wikipedia

The organisation of the coronation was the responsibility of the earl marshal, the Duke of Norfolk.[8] A committee of privy counsellors arranged the event.[9][7] On 11 October 2022, the date of the coronation was announced as 6 May 2023, a choice made to ensure sufficient time to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth II before holding the ceremony.[10][7]

Laughable comments and show the sheer stupidity of people involved in the running of Speedway!!! The problem with refusing to face the truth is that that will make these mistakes over and over

As I've already said how many Scunny fans would pay £30 to watch 15 heats they want to see and 15 their not in the slightest interested in,wonder what the excuses will be next double header?

Don't forget the free car park, even for the people who don't use a car.

Over the years in his many , programme columns, magazine columns and now blogs  Dick has written a fair amount of drivell under his various guises, but this one must be close to the top of the list for absolute balderdash

I think maybe it was written to encourage some of the responses..?

Surely even the most myopic person sitting within the Speedway Bubble, wouldnt fail to see the main reason for the crowd level, given it was so glaringly obvious...

Got a fair few responses....:D

Anyone mentioned yet that a GP at Wembley, with its 20 odd thousand attendance, would be a major boost for the sport?:D
