If it's a 40 limit

Scunthorpe
Ryan Douglas 9.38
Michael P Toft 6.76
Jake Allen 6.30
Simon Lambert 5.20
Anders Rowe 5.08
Zaine Kennedy 4.27
Joe Thompson 3.00
Total 39.99

Thats as near as you get to 40pts. Relies on Tofty really upping it to back Ryan. Hes very able to do that. I might take Conor Mountain over Anders Rowe. Thing I notice is that AR can start the season well then dip a bit or even end up released by his club ? Suppose now is the time for him to push on similar to Mountain. Lambos a popular rider committed and Scunny through and through. On his EWR prowess yes, but on his away scores maybe not ? I think neither of us are a million miles off points limit depending.

Depends who the other reserve is? Strong number 6 and as long as Joe beats the opposition no7 over the meeting, surely job done.

Similar situation could arise as in R Kinsley & C Coles this last year. Expected to do well in heat 2 & pick up the odd point elsewhere but 3 x 0's & you're gone.

Imo he could be a signing there hoping tht has a good jump on his average so will do more than beating opposite no7

At 7 Joe could score a few points at reserve but Scunthorpe always put their strongest reserve at 6. So Joe could beat a reserve in heat 2, followed by two lasts when he doesn't meet a reserve, then dropped from his last ride!

At the last after race meeting in the club house, Anders Rowe when asked if he was coming back next year gave a very negative answer.  Can't see him in Scorpion colours in 2023.

As his average shot up towards the end of the season, I don't think Rowe can afford to be picky about where he rides!

You could be forgiven for thinking this way.
However, there have been flashes of the "old Joe" (e.g. at Poole in the first leg of the play off final).
18 months ago, you'd have said he was ahead of Dan. Clearly Dan has pushed on since then, but I don't think Joe has lost the ability to succeed. As we've seen numerous times before, there have bunch of factors that have knocked his confidence. A change of track and maybe the absence of the obvious and constant comparison with his brother might just do him the world of good.
I, for one, wish Joe every success next year.

Anders clearly has a lot of potential. But he has to realise that you have to serve your apprenticeship. In order to move on, there is a lot to learn and not just on track.

Surely Poole and Leicester have proven that you need 3 top heat leaders so I would start building the top 3 and work from there. Douglas a definite but Allen and Aarnio not good enough. I would like Howarth and Ellis if available. Talk on other sites is that points will go down to try and stop doubling up which would scupper everything team building wise.

Douglas. Allen and MPT works for me as heat leader trio.
