He is actually riding well in Poland against some good riders if the SGP2 results are anything to go by.

Yeah, seen he has had some 8-10 point scores. Though he didn't do 'bad' in the Champ last season. Was just the last 5-6 weeks. At one point he put 2 points on his average.

Think a few people are misunderstanding him (and bad calling him)based on a couple of scenes.

Yes but look at his attitude. You all leave him out, now you pay for it!!

He would have been back for Poole this season imo but for refusing to celebrate a title win and acting like a moody teenager. Poland definitely won't put up with that, so hopefully he'll sort it out.

If that is/was the case, then I'd say the person/management that didn't re-sign him are the ones with the problem? if he wants to act like a moody teenager, then let him....what's the problem with that ?

'Ability' scores the points...not the personality!

However, Poole don't seem to be missing him.

He's a 'year' stronger and he's riding in a better 'speedway' environment by looks of it.

I think its a travesty that an English club didn't sign him....

Does MPT have a mechanic? Seen him working on his own bike in the pits on Friday night didn't look to have anyone with him, next to him was David Howe working on Dougys bike

He's using Josh Pickerings at Lynn so I assume he's still struggling.

Seems there aren't enough around, one assumes covid may have prompted some to get a 'proper' job with a guaranteed income.

May be Morris over Clegg then?

Who knows....Clegg might get going...he's a few months behind everyone else.

This week will be the test for both of the new lads, Ablitt at Poole & Clegg at Edinburgh.

Poole kept Ablitt at 7 all year so is this something that we should look at, giving him the easier rides although Newman or Roynon will not be easy(need to be against fellow 2 pointers in some rides. Together, our reserves could score the same as what Mountain has been scoring but give a confidence boost to Ablitt.

Clegg not being picked for anyone towards the end of last year for this years teams & not in the NDL has not helped his preparations but as they say "fail to prepare, prepare to fail".

It gets people's backs up after a while, fans, possibly sponsors etc. Also having to be dragged out the pits to go and celebrate a title win with rest of the riders on the bend where the fans were stood at Lynn and the medal/trophy presentation,  isn't a good look.

Surprised Edinburgh didn't.

I ave just noticed that MPT is down to ride in the Danish league on Wednesday, although we knew this might happen & just looking through the averages, there is not a good choice of guest & as the averages have not changed yet & MPT 2nd in our averages, R/R might be the best option meaning Dougy can take an extra ride.

Tom Brennan, best option. I think Glasgow would be okay with it, as practice for BSN final and league meetings.

R/r at 2 for MPT

Not surprised r/r is at 2 (as pretty much everyone does it). But don't think it's wise in this instance, as it means the one Scorpion who has the ability to beat any Pirate, gets his extra ride against 2 of the weaker opposition riders.

Although if Scunthorpe are expecting a drubbling & just want to make the score respectable, then it makes more sense to get a very likely 3 points in the heat 8 r/r slot.

Great start for Simon Lambert, has beaten Rowe, Newman & both Cooks. Should shut up the doubters lol!

I like Lambert. He seems old school and just gets on with it. Tries hard and has done some decent work with kids looking at getting into speedway. Top bloke.
