Would like to see the 18 British under 21 reserves you would like to see next season , all of a similar standard of course

The youngsters in Poland are not all the same standard, but they will improve with the chances they get.

Reading what everyone is posting is very interesting how ironic that the club that has done this to a young English talent who was very good against my team last Tuesday is run by the person who is the chairman of British speedway I feel sorry for joe Thompson I really do.

Me too...he's ended up with 'us' and LR as his manager!

Seriously though...what is there to feel sorry for? Joe has been signed and he will have less travelling in the process !!:t:

I understand your pain remember we had rogers sniffing around our club not so long ago I believe he had some wonderful ideas how to spend others money but wasn’t prepared to part with any of his iwn.

Vatcher didn't tell Scunthorpe they had to drop Joe T, he said they can only use 75% of Kennedy's average.

Scunthorpe chose to drop Joe - obviously believing Clegg & Ablitt are stronger than Joe & say Jack Smith?

In theory Scunny could've dropped one of their top 5 for Aarnio, Batchelor etc with Ablitt for Kennedy?

The decision did allow a young Brit to get signed though (Ablitt).

Aarnio won’t race again for the Scorpions Fact

Impressive performance from Kinsley tonight scoring 10+1 from 4 beating both Thompsons in heat 13 could he find his way back into a Scorpions race jacket ?!

Probably would have been better than Clegg or Ablitt

He or J Smith could have done a job, even short term at no6 keeping Joe.

After 2 league meetings & when the averages change on the 1st June, what Dougie has lost Lambo has gained & similarly with Allen gaining & Tofty losing. Mountain is about the same.

Me to so the younger lads get to compete against there piers . Sport really missed a trick in 21 after Covid should have made huge changes for the future but sadly didn't. Never mind though we can always get a 27 year old Aussie in the NDL on a 3 point average and support it

An Aussie who's come along way to score 1 point in 3 meetings!

Ryan Kinsley paid 11 tonight for Oxford , would have been far better with Joe Thompson than Clegg and Ablitt

In hindsight yes, but based on his previous Championship form, there was nothing to suggest Kinsley was a sensible decision. I understand why they made the double change, but signing a 4 point rider on a 5 point average was not the right thing to do, Kemp or Dan T would've been my picks ahead of Clegg.

On current form Scunthorpe should certainly sign Kinsley to replace Ablitt in 28 days if he's not kept on by Oxford.

Can’t even bring in Kinsley as well because Oxford have actually declared him in place of Killeen

So now we are left with Douglas as a top heat leader, Mountain as a good 2nd string, Allen and Toft as poor 2nd strings, Lambert as a poor reserve and Clegg and Ablitt as 2 sick jokes

Mountains where he belongs in reserve, hence why he’s scoring, need team to support each other won’t win much without team all contributing
