Glasgow and Edinburgh ride on the same night. Friday is our race night. And do you really think Glasgow have any say over the Edinburgh promoter who does the fixtures. Usual BS we've come to expect

If there’s no clash with riders, and Glasgow have no issue with riding on a Thursday, then it would make sense to move the fixture to the day before the Edinburgh fixture.

Think of the environment and All that carbon saved from being pumped into the atmosphere.

Then where do you stop? Birmingham decide it's bit far, Scunthorpe, Redcar. As crescent girl said it was done with Newport because they brought hundred of fans. Sure if you fill 10 buses and approach the facennas they'll be all ears

What a twit you are!   (Forum police changed "a" for "i" there)

You really think Glasgow (or Edinburgh) should move off their regular racenight, causing inconvenience and lack of continuity for their regular public, to serve the convenience of you and a couple of your pals taking a jolly boys outing?

Oh, and maybe you forget that Thursday is reserved for the Premiership -- won't your paid-on-time Pirates be racing for their real clubs that night?

I should imagine that northern teams will be riding at Plymouth the night before they come to Poole. So when Glasgow are due on 5th July, swap the fixture with Birmingham coming instead, and put Glasgow back to the 19th July. That way they can make two long journeys down to the south coast in a couple of weeks.

Sounds fair as that’s what Glasgow want Poole to do, right?

I'd say it hurt Glasgow more if we don't let them come down in July, considering they have two Dane's!

And there you have it, if anyone is unaware of why Poole are disliked then have a read of the last few pages. Wind up or not.

Poole are disliked through envy. The big green eyed monster. Anyone but Poole. Heard it virtually every season for the last 20 years.

Speedway would be a 'duller' sport without Poole IMO....

Poole set the bar and 'we' (other clubs) have to try and aspire to it....

It's a beautiful part of the country too.

I admire their winning mentality....

We all want to beat Poole ...it's healthy competition IMO!

Sure, a part of it is definitely envy. Who wouldn't want to win the trophies that Poole have over the last 20 years or so? But a big part of it is also the way the club and the fans conduct themselves.

There are plenty of examples of successful teams in sports that weren't universally hated because they (and their fans) acted with respect.

(I'm not saying every Poole fan is like this, there are some good eggs on here - you know who you are)

Envious of what? Been stated on here many times that no one really cares who does or doesn't win the league as its all a bit of a farce anyway. so what exactly are people jealous of?

Been stated by you many times, don't remember many others stating the league doesn't matter and nobody cares.

Steve Worrall testimonial

 29th March

Poole v Belle Vue

Mark Lemon agreed to send a strong BV team. Poole to strengthen up ( a bit like the 'Jubilee' Final) - just awaiting confirmation of availability by certain riders.
