Agree. If we can fit Holder, Cooks, lawson/king and still have a competitive rest of the team I'm all for it. But Holder on an 11+ average makes that's very difficult. But as a poole fan I would go every week to watch Holder

Panthers99
Harris 8.76 Z. Cook 4.92 Hume 5.68 Cook 6.09 Lawson 8.06 Abitt 2.00 C. Bailey 4.47 39.98. Can't see Ford bringing Holder back as will ruin team balance. Harris needs a week day track, Hume and Bailey not at Glasgow. Top end strength, solid second strings and you'll always have a potent reserve.

Why would you want an 11point rider when you have a 8 point rider who can win most races,to justify his inclusion he would have to win all his races and he would not do that. He has always struggled at tight technical tracks too. If we were to go up to the Premiership then that would be. different.

Jaizer
With it being a 32 meeting season, could bring him in do a bit of average manipulation for 5/6 meetings, scrape some home wins get a few doings away, get him down to 8.00, 8.5 there you have 3 points to play with come May. Only need to make play offs not win the league. Be good to see Noddy back in British speedway
Mr Blobby
With holder signed up with Leszno in the Ekstraliga I think him riding championship is a bit of a fantasy. Edited November 14, 2022 by Mr Blobby

I know you x it by 1.5 for the Champ, but how low do you want his average to go

Depends on if we have anything up our sleeves else where in our team, Holder Cook Cook Lawson Ablitt is about 32 points? (I think) So maybe 2 new young Aussies could make for a competitive team, and then as mentioned above. Can play with the averages after the first set of green sheets

Can play with the averages after the first set of green sheets Now that Holder has just signed for a new Swe Team as per Speedway News POL, I can't see it happening. Could only see it if he had maybe doubled up with Prem to make it work financially. Let's hope that after the BSPA meeting (due Tuesday according to reports on here) that we at least know the points limit. I reckon both Prem and Champ limits already agreed in principal as clubs are already announcing riders in both leagues.

I reckon both Prem and Champ limits already agreed in principal as clubs are already announcing riders in both leagues. Points limits were discussed and provisionally agreed in September subject to final declaration of number of teams. As for Chris Holder I reckon Poole fans will just have to be content with seeing him (and Jack/Brady) in the pits most weeks but not on track - unless there is a one-off individual meeting or inter-league challenge or similar.
