POOLE 2023

Recommended Posts

The unfortunate injury to Jack Thomas leaves the Poole promotion with a conundrum. Do they attempt to bring in Rowe, Kemp or Thompson, or make a double change and bring in Batchelor and Abblit? Meaning Danny would have to ask a rider with a team place to stand down. Which is not nice 3 weeks before the season starts, basically taking away their income. Unless the leaving rider gets immediately picked up by another club. Are any spaces still available?

If Danny goes for a double change it’s a hard one but this is sport and tough decisions have to be made. This has happened in the past and will again in the future.

If yous drop Newman you can fit Batchelor and Ablitt... but Kyle wouldn't fit in at Birmingham who are the only team with a spot left to fill, so it would be a bit harsh...

Plus Redcar would be seething. All that and we don't even use him! I think it will be a direct replacement. Although I see Nathan was in Bournemouth yesterday ;)

Personally I don't think it's a conundrum at all, Poole built the team they wanted, Rowe, Kemp & Dan T are all similar standard to Thomas, so they have a very simple choice imo.

If they wanted Batchelor & Ablitt sure they would have chosen them from the start?

Shame he can't ride it!!!

If Keynan Rew is on 5 points then he's worth a punt. I know there were on going discussions with him before he signed for Ippo,  which if Poole had known they could have shared all his initial costs with Ippo.;)

just bring in drew and see how it goes

See how it goes?? What kind of plan is that! Dan Thompson will have the most match fitness. If Ippo sign Rowe then he will have more match fitness level than Drew.

It is a difficult decision though as all a similar level. Plus it isn't my money. I will support whoever they sign ...even Batch! :D

Maybe they would have if they knew how many 2 pointers there were going to be!

I thought Matt and Chris were good friends, so surely they would have known?!

Apparently (from the horses mouth!!), Keynan did the Ippo deal, with all that comes with it, first without confirming it to Matt/Danny!!!  So it may not be an option if 'bridges have been burned'!!:o;)
