Beautifully set up by the referee for BV to win

Meeting panned out exactly as expected

BV hasn't won a championship for 30 years best set it up for them

When they win it thousands will dash back to watching speedway

Hope you're ok mate,  I used to love reading your long posts about your trips to meetings.   You seem to have a downer on it all now.  I don't think it was set up for a Belle Vue win at all, it just worked out they had done just enough on Monday to get them over the line.   Great couple of meetings, plenty of drama and decent racing on well prepared tracks considering the time of year.

Was there any fireworks or were they cancelled as well

Yes, I saw fireworks on the TV while the trophy was being handed out & 10 riders were trying to squeeze onto a bench.

I thought that was the best racing I've seen at Sheffield. Both teams contributed to a great match over the 2 legs. As for the refs decisions, I thought Brennan was already on his way down, and his foot hit Ellis's dirt deflector as he put his foot down again. As for ht 11, I think it was a fair decision. Although Kurtz could have gone a little wider, but then he would have been passed so he took a calculated gamble and stayed tight. All in all, 2 good meetings. Well done Belle Vue.

I think overall the grand final has given speedway a shot in the arm in this country, especially after two pretty crap semis, a blowout in the final would not of been good for anyone

How will anyone know it has given speedway a shot in the arm?  How many new fans will be attracted?  How many of the one-off fans who attended the Finals will be there next March/April?

You know what was missing? The Pirate roar and atmosphere. No atmosphere came over tonight on tv. Did you here the Sheffield roar as the number 8? Nope.

As a final second leg it was quite flat, though pleased for the BV fans at the end. 29 years? Jesus! If I recall Poole whopped BV at Wimborne Road then BV went to Monmore and Wolves choked. Bobby Ott the hero.

If only Poole was there hey .. Your not in the top tear anymore. Thank God.....

Ask Mystic Meg, she'll know.
