Supposedly he was to return to King's Lynn but after Alex left he was asked to sign a new, lower rate contract. Pickering is getting the same deal as original King's Lynn contract at Sheffield.

Well i guess if he dont wanna be here .

Again that's no surprise if Buster is going to bankroll Artem, and no surprise that Pickering decided to ride elsewhere.

Maybe Wolves could do the same  -  racing at Birmingham ??

Birmingham is likely to go the same way as Wolves if you look at their 2024 greyhound schedule which includes Wednesday evening races.

The Birmingham owner was saying on the podcast that Perry Bar will be available on Monday's & Friday's next year... make of that what you will

The greyhound 2024 schedule already confirms Wednesday is now a greyhound night.

It's still not been officially announced as far as I'm aware, so we don't know for sure that My Blobby is right.

Mr Blobby is correct unfortunately. Pickering for Bellego at Sheffield.

Would anyone take Bellego at Lynn??

If they ride Mon, they would have to be in the Prem? Nearly half the Champ ride on a Friday as it is, will Godfrey allow another one?

It's either Friday or he'll put another club out of business! Surely Birmingham going PL would be financial suicide

You would have thought so but what are Leicester crowds like now compared to last season?

They've picked up now we've started winning lol. Comparable to last season but Birmingham can barely sustain CL racing

Yes, you soon realise how committed riders are to a club when they have to take a pay cut.

By the rules he wouldn't have been able to come back this season, only in the best interests would he had been allowed back.To get Laguta in he had to make way as well as KK and bring Kye in at the same time.If they could have got Laguta in just for KK then i'm sure they would have done that, then Kye could have been a 28 day injury replacement for Pickering. If that happened then Pickering would have been allowed back in the side.

No chance. I doubt he's cheap either. I'd rather Simon Lambert, Ben Barker over Bellego tbh.

Just had a look and his away average for the Tigers  is 2.25:blink:

Okay, so just leaves Friday?

I suppose they could just about scrape in given the lack of fixtures in the league, if they went to 2 home/away they might struggle and also if an alternative race night was required

Why would a rider ever be committed to a club when they club can drop them at a moments notice? Loyalty works both ways!

And you can get dropped by the club for doing "too well"....:D
