An Edinburgh article saying maybe 4-6 weeks for Josh and they just going to run with guests. Will Lynn sign a replacement?

If he goes back into the top five next Monday then I suspect it'll be R/R. Can't imagine there's much appetite to shell out on a short term replacement but could be wrong.

Could they tempt Nicholls in as a 28 day replacement.Be handy at reserve away to Ipswich on the Bank Holiday if Pickering's average stays at no6.

If Nicholls signs as a temp replacement, they don't use Pickering's average any more, so Nicholls would be at reserve - best reserve in the league imo

The cut-off date for May has passed, Pickering will still be at reserve. Nicholls or Cook could be possible temporary signings.

Just seen Pickering's average has now fallen to below 6 for May:blink:.If he is out for 4/6 weeks a temp replacement needed imo.Say Nicholls did sign,do those matches count towards an average for Nicholls?

Temp replacements do count towards rolling averages

So would he be better off guesting for teams, don't think that counts towards an average does it?That would keep his average artificially low if it was the case and would get him more bookings if he wanted going forward, and at reserve in most cases.

Yes, if Nicholls signs his average will change, guest appearances don't effect average.

Which Is why he probably never signed for Wolves in the end as it wasn’t worth it - once again, making the guest system look a total farce.

So he would be better off for himself to guest to keep his average low.You would think it would help his cause of getting bookings if he wanted them.If he ended up with say an 8pt average by signing as a temp replacent that would limit his chances of guesting after that.

His average wouldn't go that high, as he'd be carrying 10 matches from 2022 with a 5 point ave!

Guest options in May for Pickering (5.92) would be Bellego (5.80), Brennan (5.72), Blodorn (5.50), Howarth (5.40), Kerr (5.27), Andersen (5.19), Lidsey (5.16) & Sedgmen (4.98).

Or sign Nicholls or Cook?

There are some reasonable options amongst that lot to be fair. As long as they want to guest and the club are prepared to pay the going rate!

I wonder what Kings Lynn are going to do at Leicester on Thursday with no KK who is riding in Poland and now no Josh Pickering ? Combined with Sheffield vs Peterborough so Tom Brennan or Blodorn looks like best option for reserve and Ryan Douglas for KK

Stay home. The forecast is awful.

I would go for Douglas for KK,and S.Worrall or Nicholls for Pickering.
