Busters certainly been working behind the scenes :), and it looks like the Stars will be running in 24:t:

Rumour last night was that they were looking at 2 changes, one being Kye and the other MPT.Assuming Toft is out for the season:unsure:

Emil Breum in for Kye Thompson.

He looked pretty impressive in the second round of the SGP2. Not a bad move for a club that's running 'so far over budget', cant imagine he would be much cheaper than Thompson.

Being an SGP2 rider I can't imagine he is cheaper at all

Exactly, plus flights etc.

Exciting move for the club and fans. Presume he comes in on a 5 and starts at no2?

Why do press releases never include averages of riders coming in

Perhaps the rider wants to extend his experience and therefore his demands are more reasonable than many would expect

They'd already gone when Buster deemed the team "well over budget."

Nope, Buster made those comments on 13/6, Jakobson left on 15/6 and Pickering on 20/6.

I would imagine they would want another new recruit in before the next meeting...

Personally I think it's good to see this kind of signing again... which seems to have been sadly missing since Covid/Brexit. A lot of the riders that were coming over here in the past now opt for the Polish U24 league, Aussies included.

Jakobsen's last meeting was the 12th, he'd notified the club the previous week it'd be his last meeting. Pickering was injured in May & never returning. All done under the guidance of Brady.

Jakobsen & Pickering weren't in the budget when Buster made that statement.

Buster's budget concerns are with Laguta (expensive) & Klindt (no delivering), both on guarantees
