So no MPT return to the Coliseum for 2023 except as a visitor!!

Reckons he's done deals for both Premiership and Championship but not at Plymouth!!

Tuesdays in Devon are not going to suit his racing schedule in 2023 apparently.

MPT probably has an attractive average - due in part to a disappointing & injury ravaged 2022 season. For 2023 the Gladiators will be looking for riders with a good history for lasting the season. With any reasonable team to start the season the Glads will do well with the advantage of their unique home track.

If Richard doesn't race for Poole in 2023 I can see that happening ......

Apart from the fact that you can't actually do a straight swap between those two riders, even if it was a serious option, which it isn't.

If any swaps between Poole and Plymouth, it will be with Zach and Hans imo.

Why can’t you do a straight swap in theory if all parties agree ?

You mean between Lawson and Zach? Because Lawson is recognised HL and Zach isn't there yet. So Zach and some payment? Maybe I am getting confused with how they do it in football though!

Surely you can swap whoever you like if all parties agree? Why they'd agree to swap them is another question, but surely possible.

Hmm, Basso was always going to put at least 3 points on his average though, so would be similar to Lawson at the end of the season. (Think Basso is on a higher average than Lawson atm) Whereas I think Zach will up his average steadily each season. However if he gets a Prem place it might see him improving faster in the Champ as well.

Maybe clubs just swap assets no matter if they are in different stages of their career or if one is a HL and the other a second string? Wouldn't happen in football and I think that is where I am getting confused!

Think the phrase everyone is looking for is 'trade value' having a prospects contract will very more valuable than an older rider who will be retired soon anyway. The prospect is only going to increase in value and the older only gonna go the other way.

That's what happens in sports like ice hockey anyway...
