I noticed Belle Vue's team only fits if Brennan gets a 25% reduction. So Mountain must have a 3.38 ave, leaving 5.48 for the last rider!

Good to see Bomber given the Captaincy of the Lions. His great attitude, professionalism & experience is going to be a major factor during the season - the right appointment.

I hope it doesn't happen it's just a complete balls up.

I think there are better "challenge" matches to be had.
Running the final of a three team tournament between two clubs, now in different leagues, with different riders, isn't a good advert is it?

It's not a good advert but not completing a competition that has been started is even worse in my book... how do you expect fans to buy into these mickey mouse fixture filler competitions if they don't finish them. Clubs shouldn't be allowed to pull out of finals or just not run them without any sanction imo.

Here's a crazy idea. How about we run a two legged meeting but with the kids racing instead. I'm sure Leicester could use there national League team and Poole could pick best of the rest so atleast the youngsters have had some more racing experience. Crowds wouldn't be great I know but I'd be up for that..

Here's an even crazier idea... how about reassembling the teams that qualified for the competition and running it as their first matches of the season and getting the bloody thing out of the way, that way the fans that traveled the country following their team last season under the crazy notion that if their team qualified for a final they would actually get to see it. As it stands at Leicester we qualified for the play off final and the Jubilee Trophy final and have seen neither!

So only a few weeks now till the season starts what’s peoples predictions of the lions I’m thinking stay relatively injury free good chance of the play offs…

There's lots of strong looking teams & no team that I think will be well adrift, think we're in for a competitive season. Think Leicester will miss out on the top 4 though

I think top 4 is realistic but now other teams have announced some big names it's getting hard and harder to imagine Leicester lifting any silverware. Think this season relies upon the form of Jake Allen and Justin Sedgmen. Fricke will do the business  home and away. Lawson is a track specialist at Leicester and is a seasoned pro. Harris is a legend and can still provide big score especially away from Leicester. Morris is the track record holder and will up his average for sure. Dan Thomson will struggle away but he will claim to some big scalps at home. Think if Sedgmen and Allen can master the lions den then who knows. I'm going leicester for 4th spot.

Popped up to the track yesterday and have to say how impressed I was with the activity going on by the band of volunteers getting things ready.  Track staff were working tirelessly to make good the track on the pits exit with the installation of kick boards on the outer perimeter and new safety fence, half of the air fence was installed, lots of areas have been tidied up and painted and a whole crew were hard at it painting the inner perimeter fence. The smell of fresh paint everywhere reminded me of my days working in education when we knew that OFSTED were due a visit!  Could it be that the newly crowned King has booked one of the corporate boxes for a bit of a do after his Coronation?!!!!!

It has that winning feel about it,sedgmen and Allen will be fine home and away so get behind them both, fricke needs to lift when it matters and that should keep him in the number 1 position ,how does a team with so many ausies loose ?

Surely they have to get the track re-inspected and re-licensed?!  I know every club does, but the inspection is always more detailed when there has been a lot of work done!

The size and shape of the track has not been changed. We have just been carrying out repairs and maintenance.

Aren't there question marks over the potentially regulation contravening fixed kick boards.....

No. The boards are there to stop the track falling away. Its to keep the integrity of the outside edge of the track.
