40-38
Don't worry, when Poole eventually win I'm sure the Poole fans will be on here doing their best Bjørge Lillelien saying that Leicester took one hell of a beating and how the odds were stacked against them.

For the purpose of this meeting this is Leicester's home track and they should be afforded all the benefits of riding at home. It doesn't matter how much you try and kid yourself that this is Leicester's "home" track... it is not! It is King's Lynn's home track. There is absolutely no home track advantage at all. The Thompson's were potential match winners at BP as they have mastered the peculiarities of their actual HOME track. King's Lynn is widely regarded as one of the fairest tracks in the world and I've never really heard any riders have a bad word to say about it, despite the racing often being quite dull these days, but they are two different subjects.

Bald Bloke
For any thinking of traveling. I'm about 3 miles as the crow flies. No rain here since midday yesterday. Lovely day today with bright sunshine and no clouds. I can update every hour if it's any help.

If this is the case then they will have the track set up for them. All this we cannot get our track sorted and stick a picture up of the track prepared didn't fool me nor many others. This is a dirty rotten trick as three of our riders have never seen the track . Let this be known Stuart and Buster. We are on to you. There was nothing to stop Poole practicing on there track before the first leg had they chosen to do so ?

I have never said you haven't lost your home advantage because obviously you have. Kings Lynn is a bigger track than most in this country and most riders ride don't have a problem riding it. The racing I believe has improved this season but with the rain we have all had may not be so good tonight.

I haven't been to Lynn in years... in fact I think the last time was when Leicester were there in 2018 and the meeting was abandoned because Buster didn't have enough medical cover and there was curfew and it finished so late that all the late night road maintenance had started and I had to make a 50 mile detour to get home! I vowed I would never return and have never been since. It used to be a fantastic race track before Buster changed the surface

Poole is a well-run, successful, speedway club. Probably the envy of some other promotions in all the leagues Sadly, they are blighted by having a very few, but very outspoken, minority of 'fans' who do them a great deal of harm by alienating easily-led contributors on here. Looking forward to tonight's contest, may the best team win!
FishersGate
Can only see a Poole win on the night. No home advantage what's so ever. I expect Lawson to get 13+ points. Dan n Joe would have got 10/12 between them. You can half that now. So spoiler alert everyone. It's Poole's title! Do they deserve it ? Not really but sometimes that's speedway for you. Congratulations to Poole they are serial winners. Il remember this season for lions as a successful one but with a major dissatisfied ending.

Forum would be very dull without any banter..... can't see what 'great deal of harm' being outspoken is ..... any reaction is the responsibility of said individual/s..... Its not an outspoken Poole fan that alienates 'easily led contributors' (as you put it...) its the unconscious mind of the easily led contributor.

As for practice, I'd have thought any team can do it an any time on their own circuit, and that exactly what Leicester are doing today so it's not even an issue really. Are we going to have a sun delay! Which would be quite ironic really
