I think maybe Robert Lambert was a special case in more ways than one! It was no surprise to most of us he didn't turn up but it was very bad not to release a statement prior to the meeting, when I expect many fans went to see him and went home very disappointed. Some going even for BSF!! Hope that's not too arrogant for some posters. Yes but not much about the actual meeting, mostly childish name calling and one-upmanship lol

BTFC Lion is the main man on the track putting in the graft and deserves a medal for the hours that he has been putting in this season , I was simply commenting on the information that was provided to me about plans to try to get the meeting on for Friday in an attempt to reassure fans that fingers crossed this weeks rain will not damage the track as much this week. I'm not sure you did in the slightest, more somebody else trying to inflate his own importance, unusual that! Lenny Lion
The 2nd leg will now be staged at Kings Lynn on Friday because the track at Leicester is simply not drying out fast enough & more rain forecast. http://www.leicesterspeedway.com/_mobile/news.php?extend.32126.1 Edited November 2, 2022 by Lenny Lion

mikebv
Given its Bonfire Weekend. Maybe they could set fire to the track to dry it out...? Using those scraps of paper and the cardboard boxes usually used for deciding meeting results would do the trick nicely.. Anyone got any kindling?... snapper
How many buses running from Leicester to Kings Lynn I can see this being a disaster for the crowd levels and a bonus for BSN
Falcon1983
just need to find a volunteer to switch the light off on the way out and let this sport die as it deserves the current people responsible for this sport should be laying foundations for future generations to enjoy it, joke 2
LisaColette
Wow, even though I was calling for a possible change of venue if Leicester were struggling to dry the track out. Thought they would at least attempt Friday at Leicester first. Wouldn't have thought KL though! I thought maybe BV or Peterborough.

FishersGate
I am simply lost for words. This is a low point for British speedway. The bates have said they moved us up because there business model is more suitable for the prem ..and what's that exactly? Having a track that has a drop of rain, had to be dug up and relayed, bladed, watered and god knows what else to simply not even be able to run a final. I am gutted . Speedway is my number 1 sport but this has hit a low point. The bates, BSPA and who ever else is involved should be hanging there heads in shame. I am 26 years old and missed out on the title win in 2018 for personal reasons so this Friday was a big moment for myself and the club. Now it's ruined. Well done to the pirates ! Proper run club who are in it to win and will run a meeting properly. Gutted and disappointed.

It certainly can’t get any lower. You would think there had been a storm force Hurricane over the Country for the last month.Think it confirms that the construction of the track at Leicester was done on the back of a fag packet with their troubles they have had over the years.Onwards and Upwards now though.
