That is clearly not the case in this instance.

ruckerroo
if leicester cant get their track in shape to run the 2nd leg then a neutral venue will have to be found

poole keith
On the bright side the leicester track staff have now been given plenty of instruction/advice from some poole fans and will now know what to do in the future.tho i understand that as we speak shovvy is being ushered onto a fast jet to australia to sort out the waterlogged cricket pitches in oz!!(now please no jokes about transportation to Australia)

It's laughable all these Poole fans coming up with wild fantasy scenarios... Leicester will hold the 2nd leg on their own track, when it is in a fit condition after a period of dry weather, end of! Personally I don't see what the rush is, I know Poole will want their Aussies to be there, it's really up to them to make sure they are. 3

I think many fans that aren't connected with Poole have offered advice too but either way I agree it will be staged at Leicester at some point in the future. Why are Leicester still advertising Saturdays meeting on Twitter today when it seems like there is no chance it will be on. Does the same apply to Nick? With the Sheffield Pairs now scheduled for Leicester on Monday, what is the proposed 'rain'off' date if Saturday fails to materialise (see what I did there!) It's on until it's off... we all know what weather forecasts are like, they can be way off. There is rain forecast for tomorrow morning to have cleared by 11am. One assumes they think that after the work that may be going on today they think they can have it ready by tomorrow evening, whether that will be the case or not remains to be seen

Historically a lot of Aussies have cleared off back to their homeland as soon as their last scheduled fixture has been completed... sometimes before! Same may apply to Nick... if so guests would be used, that's hardly new, especially in recent seasons
StevePark
I have no loyalty to any team now the Diamonds are gone, but looking ahead to 2023, all this points to doing one of two things. a) Scrap the Play-offs altogether OR b) Top 4 reach the play-offs (Semi Final 1v4 & 2v3). Get the League programme done and dusted by the end of August and Play-offs, Cup Finals etc., can be run in September. It shouldn't be difficult. Just not as many "blank weeks" in the fixtures, when teams can be running in the summer.

We are all trying to see the light at the end of the tunnel but it looks pretty dark at the moment.

Ben Cook for example recently said on Piratecast interview that he is not booking anything until all the trophies have been competed (1 down, 2 to go!)

They were here for November last season and a lot of them stay with Middlo so I doubt going back early is an option. Anyway looks like it's raining in Australia too at the moment so they may as well wait until it gets sunny over there.
marko
I would say keep the play offs but have a cut off date of 31st August, the top four (regardless of how many teams in the league) then play off over two semis and a final. Caveat to that, any team that fails to complete 100% of their HOME fixtures by said date are excluded from the competition.

Dates are easily moved... hell they've even altered the number of teams actually involved in the play-offs mid season before! We all know that those running the sport cannot be trusted to do so in its best interests

HGould
Let's go back x pages. Are we seriously believing of the allegation re the track on the basis of photos that can't be seen or evidenced, allegedly been sent by a person at Leicester to "Steve Who" Is the photo from Hans(Christian) Andersen. It's fantasy from Pinocchio with the long lens..
