Poole v Leicester v Poole play off final 21/22 October

Recommended Posts

Leicester won the league who cares who wins over a two legged winter competition.

Next season needs to change no enforced breaks in the Summertime and whoever finishes top at the end of the Marathon wins the league.

Not whoever wins a two legged sprint.

One problem though. Playoffs are too well attended to bin them. I don't mind playoffs or league table either way tbh.

Poole had probably their best attendance of the season on Wednesday, so playoffs (and finals) are certainly a financial benefit to clubs that are in them. For example Leicester will benefit from 3 coachloads of Poole fans plus many travelling independently who wouldn't necessarily all go to a normal league meeting.

Really it’s a sideshow how for instance can a team that finishes 6th potentially be crowned champions.

We need to get back to simplifying the sport and that means league winners are champions. This season has been a farce stumbling from one balls up to another , fixture planning has been shambolic and it needs sorted.

Just how I see it following Speedway can frustrate the life out you as it continually shoots itself in the foot.

The pay offs need reducing, drastically. Top of the league goes through to the final, 2nd & 3rd into a semi, winners to the final. It's been ridiculous this season how long Leicester have had to wait for Poole to get their arses into gear

No I get that but get the league done and dusted early and have a season ending cup competition,

Would also love to see the Silver helmet return , the 4s the list is endless on how they can make the sport more attractive and more importantly making it easier to understand for any new fans that clubs need to attract.

I always find it ironic that one off world finals were binned and the winner of the title decided over a season for consistency. In the league the most consistent team could end up not winning the league. Only Speedway.

The record books won't show them as champions unless they win the playoffs

Playoffs have been going for 20 years and have been the best thing to happen to the sport. Bloody love them, even when we finished top in 2010 and lost to a team 24 points behind us. Massive crowds, thrills and winners crowned Champs. Nothing better.

What the hell you on about Poole getting there ass in gear, they can't control the weather, Leicester need to get there ass in gear and sort the track out

You can blame Poole for a lot of things but not that. Plymouth leg kept being called off and the Glasgow one!

Are you for real

Yup, we've been waiting since September the 24th for you to sort yourselves out.

For some unknown reason you decided to prioritise a benefit meeting and the KO Cup over the pay offs!

I literally have no idea. Could call it over one leg but very controversial. Could stage it at another venue. Could do it on aggregates from the league campaign or whoever finished top. All of those scenarios don't sit well with me though

If needed to....

I am sure the powers that be will come up with a very sensible and very suitable idea.....;)
