Yes true, I am not a track expert but I have seen some very wet tracks turned around with taking the surface off and putting new shale down which mixes with the wet base to produce a good racetrack. Can this not be achieved anymore?

I think it can, your right, but whether Leicester have any spare, decent shale or willing to get any for 1 meeting is a different matter...

ADMISSION for the Championship/NDL Grand Final double-header on Saturday October 29 will be held at regular Championship prices only.

The management have taken the decision not to charge normal double-header prices, so it's two Finals for the price of one!

Tickets already bought online for October 22 will be transferred to October 29. Tickets will be re-issued for October 29 and all who had already purchased for October 22 should receive their new ticket at the start of the week.

If you had bought a ticket for October 22 and are unable to attend on October 29, please contact us at lions@leicesterspeedway.com to arrange a refund.

Usual warning applies... if you're coming to this (if it goes ahead) be aware that if you park on the supermarket car park there is a 4 hour time limit, enforced by cameras! History shows that running double headers at Leicester takes considerably longer than 3 and a half hours (15 mins each way from car park)

May have to leave early then.

If recent double headers are anything to go by, it'll be 1 hour 45 mins for the first meeting, a 40 minute track prep and 1 hour 45 mins for the second meeting

Also should include allowance for time needed for presentation of the trophy, celebrations, open-top tractor tour around the track, etc

You forgot the warning for Shovlar, the Ford's and Middle ditch

All Car Parks have height restricted access. Not ideal for visitors with inflated egos

Locally known as big heads.

Don’t disagree with your view but shooting him sounds a tad harsh

You wont need to now. He has pulled out of tonight's fixture for Sheffield through illness so will miss both play-off matches.

Wednesdays forecast looks better than it was with a few showers around lunchtime then a dry afternoon and evening. Saturday looks to be a dry day. I think both meetings will take place on their chosen days. Hopefully on tracks in conditions to produce good, fair racing.
