On a serious note... how on earth are clubs supposed to "promote" their biggest matches of the season at this time of year... it's totally ridiculous!

Yep agree, we should have the playoffs and final half way through the league season.

They should make a sport that is so reliant on the weather a summer sport....

Wonder if anyone has ever thought of that...? ;)

In my opinion the other cups and trophies should be completed before October especially this season when you consider the summer we had leaving October to finish the league meetings and play offs.

Running the league play offs in September would be the perfect scenario..

Just after the summer hols and kids back at school so maximum possible adult attendance...

And whilst the weather is still decent too...

The Cups should take place in April and be done and dusted by mid May..

Again, hopefully in decent weather..

Spreading the competitions keeps publicity throughout the season and not just in one block when Speedway closes just afterwards..

Win a trophy in May, get some local publicity, then advertise yourself as "x" cup winners for the rest of the season..

Fans like to latch on to something successful...

Run all the individual comps in October...

The BSPL website really does its best to hide information. They put up a preview of a meeting but if it is rained off they simply delete the preview with no information as to why. This means you have to go to the fixture list to find out if the meeting is postponed or if it is simply the internet playing games. Back when Nigel Pearson was doing most of the site the preview was always replaced by a short message say the meeting was postponed for whatever the reason was and any new date if one had been agreed.

Can someone explain in words of one syllable to BSPL that they are supposed to make it easy to follow what is happening or are words of one syllable to complex for them!

Because 2 of your fans call everyone liars if they call off a meeting because of the weather Lisa.

There have been one or two dubious call offs in the past but it is also true  that Poole have been accused of it too so sometimes it is just giving back what is thrown at us and most fans will do that in support of their club.

Can a Leicester centric person advise if on line tickets bought yesterday are eligible for a refund. My brother can’t go next week and has seen on the Leicester ticket site that refunds aren’t available. Is that true? Any ideas?

If they don’t refund it would be illegal as no service has been provided. If you had purchased a ticket and the event had gone ahead, then you might be struggling.

If they don’t refund you, and I am sure they will if you contact them, contact your bank and ask for a refund.
