I told you all on Thursday this meeting will be off there was little to no chance the track was going to dry out in time for Saturday night when it was still raining torrentially at 7pm Friday night.

Leicester have tried i walked my dog past the stadium this morning  & a few cars there & sounded like tractors going round. But equally Leicester now get what they wanted the 2nd leg.

Yes true they get the second leg now and with Howarth not well I suspect these things may have influenced their decision. It is a shame and I know we have had a lot of rain over the last couple of days but I would have thought with a dry day it could have been sorted.

For the conspiracy theorists, here’s a look at the track. It’s a swamp, everyone was ready to go but it’s simply not safe as Stewart explains in the video..

Isn't it quite sad that clubs feel they have to provide a photo or video to 'prove it' though!

Did you notice the blue sky with the sun out, not a million miles away from Leicester

The sun is out, their track was absolutely flooded after 3 days and a months worth of rain. The base of the track is struggling and will provide too much grip, meaning riders can’t turn the bike .

Ultimately Stewart as track curator & promoter as well as team manager has his name above the door. If a rider goes through the fence he is liable, and he doesn’t feel it’s safe. Look at the video you can see it, so yes it’s sunny, but that ain’t gonna dry out until tomorrow basically.

When has the BSPL/BSPL ever learnt a lesson about anything?

I know people will cite examples from occasions down the years when competitions have been completed late in the season but since the introduction of the pay offs it seems to be happening EVERY season. Before the pay offs the leagues were often settled long before the final weeks of the season and it was just the KO Cup that got pushed to the end... now more often than not it's the main competition itself.
