I've always found XC Weather to be pretty accurate tbh and their forecast is showing windy but no rain today. Whether that's good enough to get a meeting on is a different matter. Let's hope so

Old Bob speaking 100% truth here. I've been saying for years that they should rattle through the league, and hold the play off finals on the August Bank Holiday. Can move into September as a last resort.

But no. Every year we fannny about in the cold and wet when nobody is interested and the racing is a lottery because riders are rusty and conditions are poor. Sadly it will

Yup agree, start the season Easter bank holiday w/end & league finished by the end of August.Possibly cup matches in September only. Glasgow didn’t even run a home fixture for 6 weeks & then ran their play off semi on a Sunday night at 6pm in October which is hardly viewing friendly hence a poor crowd.

Yes! This is the thread that just keeps on giving! :D

Just award the title too Leicester as league champions as table toppers and present the trophy at the start off next season.

Award Poole as one legged play off winners and award them with 400 duty free fags and present them to Havvy  on there next northern jaunt.

Absolute joke. I guess this is due to the rain that could be coming this afternoon?

The Leicester track staff need to scrape off all the clay, get it back to base and run it ultra slick. Only chance they have. Alternatively, use another track like Monmore or Oxford which can cope with the weather.

Easter is a different date every year though. it's simple just don't close the sport down during the summer, that's all that's needed

Why would any club that enjoys a fantastic attendance for any meeting in August BH week, choose to have play offs that early? It would be a waste of a decent pay day.

As usual you totally ignore the bigger picture and think only of one club.

If your club has big gates at August Bank Holiday they coukd stage play off or KOC fixture or pointless back slapping testimonials or any other contrived events on that weekend.

So why oh why don’t they just do that after 3 call offs?
I do hope Poole are asking these questions.

He won’t be flying back on Tuesday.

Yep very easy to change dates and times with this new concept they have.

Its called online booking and you use it with something called internet.

Seriously though it’s not a big deal as some would like to make out.

Most clubs will have better crowds over a holiday week. Why put on a play off meeting is all I'm saying. Whether you are in a holiday town or not?!

I think the Jubilee meetings are destined to be axed.

As for the nonsense of running the playoffs on August Bank Holiday, what utter drivel. Why run a meeting, guarenteed to bring in a big crowd, on a date when a Bank holiday meeting will bring in a big crowd regardless of it being league, cup or testimonial? Some just don’t have any business savvy.

On another note, it looks like tomorrows pairs meeting at Leicester is biting the dust. Or should I say slop?
