Would any of you Ipswich fans change Erik Riss to add in Holder & Tungate??

Thing's seem to be falling apart over at Peterborough

One piece of the jigsaw thought it was bigger than it actually is and despite fitting now finds itself back in the box

I wouldn't say that's falling apart

Ipswich not releasing Tungate & Holder now potentially saying no, I'd say that's falling apart

From Holder & Tungate to Worrall & Andersen is a disaster

Never any doubt that Ipswich are happy to release Tungate. I'm sure they would be delighted for him to be anywhere other than Foxhall and get a few quid

Just looked up Kalina and it says British clubs,, Hackney 1991,,,which was the year Tesar joined witches,,,,,  Neville Tatum, Alistair Stevens raced also in 91,,

That's an error. "Vlad The Impaled" only ride for Ipswich in early 91, and then disappeared never to be seen again.  Tesar of course battled on establish himself as a very popular rider.

Kalina's best effort at Foxhall was Good Friday against the Deadbeets, scoring 7, including a splendid heat win against Michael Lee (who was making a short-lived return).

Knew I wasn't dreaming it!

Remember going to the Foxhole in the afternoon full of optimism having dispatched the Twitches comfortably in the morning 54-36 with Henka Gustafsson scoring his first Lynn maximum, but the Stars were poor and Ipswich ran out deserved 48-41 (?) victors.

Lynn put that right a year later though after a morning washout by wining 48-42 in enemy territory, Henka and Bo Brhel doing the main damage and securing the win with a heat fifteen 5-1.

Brhel always rode Foxhall well - with or without a dodgy silencer ;)

Actually Vlad did ride for Hackney in 91 and was in the Hawks team that visited Arena Essex in the Gold Cup.

The Hackney team that day was

Tony Olsson

Michael Warren

Pavel Karnas

Vladmir Kalina

Paul Whittaker

Roland Pollard

Dave Hamnet

His bio only has him racing for Hackney in Britain in 91.   So someone must have got that wrong if he raced for Ipswich to.,,, personally I don't remember him,, but there have been a few riders names I don't remember

It's a mystery, there was definitely another Eastern European rider representing Ipswich that Good Friday in 1991 but I can't find any evidence of it anywhere online. The only way to know might be if somebody is able to physically produce a programme from their attic.
